After driving 4 hours to get to my appointment for an epidural, this poor excuse for a doctor asked me to come back in a few days. I could not and did not. I was not given adequate information prior to the procedure and he did a horrid job. 10 days later, I am swollen and in pain. He's not a doctor, he's a joke.
Dr. Girlado was very straightforward and frank. But he was also precise in helping me find the correct doctor to go to for my condition. I am forever grateful to him for pointing me in the right direction and telling me what I needed to do. He wasn't able to treat me himself, but he was a guidepost in a long and challenging journey and he got me to the right doctor. I also found him compassionate and caring.
He is an interventional pain management doctor and provides other methods of relief, but for those already in medicinal pain management, they're not the same...Writing scripts isn't his practice, so why downgrade him when he has chosen to do something unusual for his office and writes them?He was nice and straightforward and provided a good recommendation for a medical pain management doctor within my network by chance alone
I have been a patient of Dr Giraldo's for 2 years for treatment of severe and unrelenting nerve pain. From the beginning, he was extremely arrogant, demeaning, disrespectful, malicious, cold, dictatorial, overbearing, uncompassionate. He spoke to me very rudely and refused to listen to what I had to say. He refused to communicate with me via My Chart, or answer any questions or concerns. Unless one did what he said, he threatened to abandon you as a patient immediately. He very often would not refill my pain medication when it expired, leaving me in great distress and horrible pain. While doing procedures he was rough and never started on time, making you and anybody with you wait for hours until the procedure was finished. He definitely talks down to women making us feel inadequate. After doing procedures he would give you the wrong size medical equipment and tell you that you had to buy a replacement yourself. He has a very poor attitude, no interpersonal skills, no compassion or feeling for another human being. Just an extremely poor excuse for a physician who should not be treating patients.
This was perhaps the worst appointment of any doctor in my life. He is NOT A pain management doctor. I spent $30 on a co-pay saw the doctor for about one minute and he gave me two other doctors to see. I don’t understand how he can be considered pain management when he is not. Be aware and don’t waste your money.
Dr Juan Giraldo is arrogant and condescending to start with! Additionally, the pharmacy has been waiting for 24 hours for a prescription approval on a drug that a senior in chronic pain needs on Saturday. First bad experience at Cleveland Clinic! He’s not a good representative of the quality care the rest of the hospital provides.
I flew 3000 miles to see this poor excuse for a Cleveland physician. I talked to one of his ketamine infusion nurses and gave her my medical history and MRI results. 8 facture vertebre . She called me back after talking to juan giraldo md. She said he thought he might be able to help me. He came into the exam room, took my MRI to read, came back in a few min. Crossed his arms, leaning Against the sink, and asked how he could help. No greetings, introductions, no pleasant facial expression, etc. I said you are the doctor, you tell me how you can help me. Then he said that's not how it works. I needed to tell him my symptoms. This whole conversation was very unfriendly and dismissive on his part. He did a very cursory exam and asked very few basic pain guestions then he informs me that he only treats regional pain syndrome. I have all but two if the nine or so diagnoses he treats. His referral idea was Mexico or Germany. Cant make this stuff up; fact stranger than fiction. Patients beware Sincerely,
Horrible medical professional with a very curt/ aggressive attitude as if every word that comes out of his mouth is law! Quick to push you into his suggested treatment options or surgery versus your medically researched or any nonsurgical relief options! He doesn’t listen to your concerns or your opinion, talks fast and speaks over you, insulting, just overall poor excuse for a medical professional! Lacks sympathy, empathy and respect for patients!
Terrible bed side manners. Although I like the hospital, Dr. Giraldo is very rude and degrading. He mad patients and family members uncomfortable and has terrible interpersonal skills. We will never go back to see him.
Very unprofesssional. Was extremely rude to my mother receiving care and made us feel very uncomfortable. He doesn't care for his patients and was so rude my mother left crying.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
