List of Shashi Kusuma's Reviews
I just finished my first week of recovery after Dr. Shashi Kusuma completed a Septorhinoplasty procedure on my nose. I was looking to repair a deviated septum as well as make a few cosmetic adjustments. I am thrilled with the results. My nose looks way better than it did before and I’m breathing better than ever. Dr Shashi is a professional and is very relatable. He treats his patients with respect and his office makes the entire process extremely easy. I highly using recommend Dr Kusuma!
Dr K and his entire staff were so welcoming and answered all my questions prior to surgery. After the surgery, Dr. K checked up on me to make sure I was ok. So far, I’m loving my progress and can’t wait to see the final results of my eyes and partial face lift. I highly recommend Dr. K to anyone who is looking for a great Plastic Surgeon!!!
Not good for eye surgery. Botched my eyes.
Recent botched eyelid surgery. Deformed my left eye. Be careful with your eyes. Go to an oculoplastic facial surgeon. Do NOT let him touch your eyes.
photos I write this review with great sadness. If anyone wanted a good outcome when I went to Dr. Kusuma it was me. Three months ago I went to Dr. Kusuma for the following procedures; Lower Facelift, Necklift, Upper Eyelids, Co2 laser and under eye fillers. Out of the 5 procedures I requested three went well. My neck does look great and the CO2 laser went well too. My lower facelift I am still unsure about as it is too soon to really tell. It seems to be going ok, but I will update when I am closer to six months. Everything surrounding my eyes has been a complete disaster. First, the upper eyelid surgery. Dr. Kusuma said that my scars would be completely hidden behind the creases of my eyes. False. They go all the way up to my eyebrows. They are absolutely NOT hidden behind the creases as he led me to believe. Second, I started developing webbing in my eyes due to this surgery. To top it off, my left eye has a bulge of extra skin sagging down. Three oculoplastic surgeons said they have never seen incisions like mine. They are supposed to be hidden behind the crease and not all the way up to the brow. So now I have scars to my eyebrows, webbing and a sagging bulge in my left eye. I have tried to address these concerns with Dr. Kusuma to which he has been completely unreceptive. I asked him to examine my eyes when I realized I was getting webbing and he flat out told me NO. He told me I focused too much on the little details and that he was not going to entertain that. He proceeded to yell at me on several follow up visits to the point that his staff gave me hugs when I stepped out of the room. I am now under the care of a very highly recognized oculoplastic surgeon. I have gotten 1 treatment of 5FU injections to control the webbing and to soften the horrendous scars I am now left with. This has been extremely traumatizing and stressful, scary and expensive. Also, the under eye fillers he added looked so horrendous that I had to have them completely dissolved. He was also not empathetic when I told him I wanted them dissolved. He told me again I focus on the details too much and was just not nice about it. I looked like I had been punched in the face for almost three months. There went $2000 to the garbage can. At least that was reversible. I have had zero support from Dr. Kusuma regarding my eyes. He has had zero empathy for what he has done to me. I am in shock at this attitude. He seems to think he is a GOD that does not make mistakes. Knowing how upset I am over my eyes, he brought in a doctor in training to my last appointment and all he did was gloat over his work on me. I was left there sitting speechless as this man knows the concerns I still have over my eyes. My left eye is completely deformed. I am sick and tired of dealing with this doctor. At least, I am feeling much better that I am now in the right hands of an oculoplastic facial surgeon. I hope you think about it VERY carefully if you decide to have your eyes touched by Dr. Kusuma. PLEASE Go to a specialist in this area. when I saw the oculoplastic surgeons to see how we can fix this mess they all took about one hour measuring , taking pics of my eyes and just documenting every detail of my eyes. Dr. Kusuma never did anything like that. He just wings it And then you are left with the trauma to deal with because he does not care! The fear I have been in for the last 6 weeks or so with this webbing issue and the horrendous scars has been pretty intense. This has affected my mental health. I also realize this has not been the same experience for everyone. This was MY experience and I would hate for anyone else to have to go through this. Maybe if there are no complications and you have no complaints about his work he will be polite to you. Also, if you do your research carefully you will find I am not the first person that has had a botched eyelid surgery by him. I remember seeing that review, but I chose to ignore it based on all of the positive reviews he had. BIGGEST mistake of my life.

Simply amazing!!! Don't look any further for a plastic surgeon. You have found the absolute best in Dr. Kusuma and his staff. I had a lower face and neck lift w/ fat grafting to the face. Like most people I was pretty nervous about getting this done. I practiced due diligence by visiting other doctors and interviewing them before deciding on Dr. Kusuma. I knew the minute that I met him that he was my doctor. He's extremely knowledgable, experienced and a master of artistry. He's kind, compassionate and genuinely cares about meeting the needs of his patients. And as for the outcome...Omg!! I can't even believe the results. He was able to erase 10-15 years of aging all inside of a 5-6 hour surgery. I'm so happy that I made the decision to have this done but even happier that I chose Dr. Kusuma to perform my surgery!!
I rarely leave reviews but after many people encourage me to do it here I am. I went to see Dr Kusuma to get both lips silicone removed. After 2 surgeries and 3 revisions that I should have avoided, and thousands spent all I can say it has been a complete disaster. My lips are completely screwed and I have no life after his surgeries, this has affected me personally and financially. He was so aggressive and completely removed my lips leaving me with a crooked, assymetric, long, deflated like mailbox opening lip, without any reasonable shape, full of visible scarring, unnatural, all lower teeth exposed, I can't completely close my lips due to all the excessively tissue removed, I have to do an effort to close them that cause my chin to wrinkle, and on the sides jowls. Stay away from this Dr, he did the surgeries by eye, he didn't make any markings, and his aesthetic eye isn't good at all.

Say away from this Dr, he did the surgeries by eye, he didn't make any markings, and he completely lacks an aesthetic eye.
I rarely leave reviews but after many people encourage me to do it here I am. I went to see Dr Kusuma to get both lips silicone removed. After 5 surgeries and thousands spent all I can say it has been a complete disaster, I have had no life after all his botched surgeries since I feel ashamed to go out on public. I have tried to fix his horrible mistakes but when you get tissue cuted out is very difficult to get it back. The 1st surgery he cut my lips inside, the after care instructions were so bad that caused my scar on lower lip to get wide open causing more scarring afterwards. With this 1st surgery he left an injury below my lower lip that he tried to correct with the 2nd surgery (lip advancement, the scar is on the vermillion border) making a crooked scar like if a dog had bitten me and taken a piece of lip. Oh my God! What a terrible mistake this surgery was! The way he cut my lower lip to remove the injury left on the 1st surgery, has caused a terrible damage that is impossible to correct (see pics). I have my lower teeth all exposed looking like a cadaver. His sense of aesthetics is pathetic. I still can't believe I have paid him to get this damage to my face. My lips are completely screwed and I have no life since 2017, my life went completely upside down after his surgeries. He was so aggressive and completely removed my lips leaving me with a crooked, assymetric, long, deflated like mailbox opening lip, without any reasonable shape, full of visible scarring, unnatural, all lower teeth exposed, I can't completely close my lips due to all the excesively tissue removed, I have to do an effort to close my lips that causes my chin to wrinkle, and on the sides causing jowls. But the worst part is when I have to eat, it's a shame to eat in public, I can't eat with my lips closed since due to the lack of tissue I can't move the food around so I need to open my lips to chew. I look like a horse when I eat. And when I sleep, I wake up with my pillow wet from saliva that dropped during the night. Horrible looking on the mirror, and even more painful is seeing the pitty faces when people stares at me. I have consulted with many surgeons and almost nobody want to touch my lips, and the ones that say to try smth can't give any guarantee, since an extensive damage has been done. Stay away from this Dr, he did the surgeries by eye, he didn't make any markings, and his aesthetic eye is of awful.
