We were International patients that made an appointment with Cleveland Clinic in Weston to see Dr Khan on the 8th Nov. 21. All relevant documents were put on the portal two months before the appointment date. When we arrived Dr Khan greeted us by saying “How can I help you today “. At that moment we knew that she did not even read our son’s file. This was very disappointing with no regard for someone who travelled from far at an expense trying to find help for our son. She then went on to say”If the Drs in Trinidad diagnosed him with ataxia..then why did you come, because there is no cure” We found her to be very vague and it was up to us to ask the questions to get any sort of answer. She also lacked any empathy and was very dismissive. I wish I had unlimited words to give a proper detailed account of how disappointing this consultation was. Overall we found her to be over rated. Thankfully we were able to find another dr who has been very helpful outside of Cleveland.

Brilliant but doesn’t seem to care. Attitude re: Parkinson’s is that there’s really no hope and start medication immediately. Doesn’t proactively share side effects. We always have to ask and she seems annoyed that it matters to us. Frustrating - wish she could hide the fact that she perceives is as a nameless, faceless, afflicted couple with no cure.

In 2 quick, disparaging weeks I lost control of my legs. Booking an urgent appointment with a reputable neurologist being practically an impossible task, I called The Cleveland Clinic in Weston, FL, and they scheduled me for a next-day appointment with Dr. Tarannum Khan. She far exceeded my expectations. She spent an hour examining me, asking diagnostic questions, reviewing my MRIs and presenting her findings. She gave me hope I will walk again. She was compassionate, personable and professional. I am very thankful for Dr. Khan's time and expertise with movement disorders.

Her diagnosis was completely inaccurate. Prescribed medicine for the rest of my life that later found out was useless. Requested expensive tests that were useless. Never followed up. Written diagnosis and notes were totally inaccurate as though it were another patient.
