Joy Abraham's Online Review Report Card

I called for an appointment; he answered the phone and said he no longer has a practice. Didn’t really know how I should rate him, but it’s required.

I have been treated by three psychiatrsts in the past.The office staff was courteous and very helpfull.This is the first time ever I did'nt have to wait in a doctor's office.Dr.Abraham took me into his office exactly at the appointment time.He was a good listener.He was very compassionate.He took time to explain the diagnosis and treatment plan.I will recmmend him as a psyciatrst for anyone.

I am reluctant to dignify this man by referring to him as a "doctor". He is the most mercenary health care professional I have ever encountered. He insisted on extensive and excessive "follow up" visits so long as my insurance was paying him handsomely. When the money ran out he left me on a high dose of a worthless psychotropic drug with no help or advice as to how to wean myself off of it safely. He told me that it was not his problem if I suffered adverse withdrawal symptoms - if I wanted a prescription to wean myself off of the drug I would need to come in and pay him his fee (otherwise I should not bother him). He was shockingly rude. This man embodies everything that is wrong with the medical profession!

I started seeing Dr. Abraham in 2006 after being highly recommended to him by a friend. After seeing psychologists who were not able to help me, I was relieved to have received the help by Dr. Abraham. He is by far one of the best psychiatrists I have ever seen and I find the previous reviews to be completely different than my experience, which may be because I am not coming for workers compensation. Every time I go to Dr. Abraham he has had an excellent bedside manner and is a great listener. He makes it very easy to talk to him and each visit has been a pleasure. He is very professional and I would recommend him to any of my friends and family.

Rude arrogant unprofessional .The worst dr I have ever met. His bed side manner stinks, and does not care about the patient at all. After telling me to come see him to change my meds, he told his receptionist that he would not see me loud enough for me to hear. Then he tried to charge me 150.00 to fill out 3 short pages for my FMLA. I took my money back got my records , and found a real shrink. If you love your sanity dont see this guy. He does not remotely care.

First time with this Doctor. He is a male not a female as listed! Worker Comp. sent me to this doctor. I spent about 20 minutes with him. The other doctor's that W/C are no good! Next week, I will see him again. Let you how this goes. I notified my attorney on this one too.
