List of Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital's Reviews
We are still just so amazed by the experience we had. EVERYONE was amazing, from the first person you see- security to the last person walking us out. The compassion, attention to detail, professionalism, and medical care was unlike anything we had ever experienced. We were there quite awhile as we waited (on another hospital) to have a bed available to be transported to. Our night and day shift nurses and staff were the best. Miranda and Aiden showed so much compassion not only to my husband-the patient but to me and my family also. We are still so blown away. Thank you to the staff for all they do.
I wish I could leave zero stars. Dr. Bunning is the worst Dr. I’ve ever come across. I hadn’t gone to an ER since I was a teen. Since then I have developed multiple complicated chronic illnesses and I was treated with no understanding or respect while I was at this hospital. I could hear the commentary of staff about how my situation “was not a real emergency” among other things, the Dr was extremely rude and dismissive. I had to request to be transferred to a different hospital, and I essentially developed PTSD from this experience. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone but especially anyone with complicated health issues.
Excellent experience with the ER team they had me in and out of there in a couple of hours.
Having my arm repaired after a break with Dr Karan Desai. Upon entering for my surgery I was met with the most wonderful ladies who got me all prepped ready and were waiting for me when I got done. So big shout out too B, N, Charmaine and Doris and if I missed you one of the ladies know that I'm thinking of you I just don't remember your name ❤️ surgery went great now I get to recover for a really long time but these guys are awesome and I cannot recommend the hospital or clinics more because my primary is also located here and Dr Robert Olson and he's also fabulous.
Have to agree with the other reviewer on here. The ER is way understaffed. We’ve been here 6 hours and there’s only a handful of other patients in the ER
Best hospital. Emergency room very responsive and fast. We are thankful with the staff and nurses, they are caring and kind. Thank you Orlando Health in Hamlin!!!
I am an asthmatic Respiratory Therapist. I live 3 miles from this ER. I had an asthma exacerbation that I couldn’t handle at home (Which is very bad considering my background). I was only give 7.5 milligrams of albuterol and 1000 mg of Atrovent and it took them 2 hours after I got to a room to give me steroids. They started only giving me a duo neb and when that clearly didn’t work for an exacerbation they decided to give me a bit more. Any RT or MD should know the standard is a minimum of 15 MG of albuterol per hour, but it really should be 20MG. Avoid this place at all costs.
Unfortunately I don't remember anyone's name but everyone from security to reception to the nurses and the doctor were amazing! My kid busted open his chin and I had to bring him to the er to get stitches. Every single person we met was so friendly and put us at ease. Definitely the best emergency room experience I've ever had.
Beautiful Hospital, Zero Staff.Took my mom to ER at 2pm. Empty parking lot, no one in the waiting room. She was having sciatic pain, we waited an hour an half to see the doctor who only offered her drugs for the pain. Asked for an Xray, but left after waiting in an empty ER for over an hour to see a Xray. We left at 6:15pm. Complete waste of time.
I really like Orlando Health but over an hour wait and one doctor on staff on a Friday night... that doesn’t work... website says 3 minute wait. Very disappointing...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
