He is terrible. States he does Cornea Transplant, but how can he specialize in this surgery if he CAN NOT do surgery. Makes you sign a form stating you can not sue this Doctor. They need to revoke his license. This is false advertisement. The most rude Dr ever. Do not let him fool you.

Today I spent two hours cooling my heals in various waiting rooms, just for privilege of being confronted by the rudest, most arrogant doctor I have ever met. I will never return to this office.

Dr Planchard is the most knowledgeable ophthalmologist I’ve ever met. He explains this eloquently and beautifully. His credentials are impeccable: Duke, Tulane, UT SA, LSU, Price Eye Institute. His father and his brother are also ophthalmologists, meaning micro surgeons. His mother was a professional portrait artist. The man can operate. He gives out his cell number to patients. The other reviews on here are few and probably written by competitors. Believe it or not, eye doctors are very cutthroat with one another.

Surgery was a success, but this doctor is ridiculously rude and very snobbish. He doesn't explain anything very well and is always obviously irritated if any questions are asked. Ultimately, we did accomplish the end-goal, but not without taking an awful lot of awkwardness from Dr. Planchard. He may be good at what he does, but he simply should not interact with patients. Each time we left an appointment, we all felt that it was a complete bother to him to have to actually talk with patients. Look elsewhere unless you're fine with a doctor with horrible manners - and that's putting it nicely...

Dr. Planchard is an incredibly knowledgeable doctor who exhibits a sweeping command of diagnoses and modern surgical techniques. I can honestly say that after talking to him, I knew I was speaking to a true expert. If you have a problem, he'll know how to fix it. He's a genius.
