PROBABLY OVERBOOKED, SO WAIT WAS TOO LONG (THOUGH NOT UNUSUAL)
Very pleasant and professional even though Dr was running behind due to an emergency.
Terrible doctor. Terrible staff. Waste of time and money . I hope no one goes to this office and feel as disrespected as i did today.
As a medical professional, I am disappointed with the service I received from Dr. Simmons and staff. I originally planned to use another doctor due to the ten week wait I would have had to endure to see him. During my yearly physical, my primary care physician was able to get me an appointment sooner, due to the severity of my condition. The first appointment scheduled was a month earlier than originally anticipated. I received a confirmation email and made arrangements to my work schedule. I then received another email changing the appointment date to a later date. When I called his office about this, they were confused about it . After I sent them copies of the emails, they agreed to get me in on the first appointment date. I made the appointment and an EGD procedure was scheduled six weeks later. Three weeks before the procedure, his office called me to reschedule the procedure because he was going to be out of the office at that time, no explanation as to why. The next available date was five weeks after the original appointment. I could not make it on that date without having to miss work, so the procedure was postponed for another week. So now I have to wait two months for the procedure. Now, his office called and said he won’t be in for that appointment and I have to reschedule again. Just to put it in simpler terms, I now have to wait three months for a procedure originally scheduled for six weeks away. I am now looking for another gastroenterologist!
Took time to listen to my concerns.
My son went to this doctor for two years. His hemoglobin levels were down to 6 & 7. They kept ordering blood for him and doing upper GI tests. My son told them it wasn’t upper, but lower. This doctor would not check the lower portion of his intestines. They kept giving him blood and scheduling colonoscopies. The doctor said the colonoscopy reports said no hemorrhoids. The next one was scheduled for July. He would have been dead by July. Last week he was passing out. His skin was ashen and his lips were blue. Finally his Dad took him to the ER. Right away they started giving blood and running tests on his lower intestines. Immediately they found bleeding hemorrhoids and diverticulosis. His hemoglobin levels were 4. something when it should have been 15-19. He could have died. They scheduled him for surgery. This was discovered in hours when Dr. Simmons found nothing in two years. A nurse friend told us that is the first thing they check for when a patient is bleeding from the rectum. I do not recommend this doctor.
Dr Simmons was very informative and took his time while in the room with me. Very pleased with my choice!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
