List of Jana Kenaan's Reviews
Dr. Kenaan was hgly recommended. I call her Gentle Jana Kenaan. :)
Dr Kenaan is calm , took her time discussing my concerns and tried her best to make me feel comfortable. She is well experienced and knowledgeable.
Dr Kenaan was very thorough and very knowledgeable. I am in menopause and she helped me with managing symptoms. Excellent care.
Dr. Kenaan delivered my son several years ago. She is a great doctor and very professional in everything she does. Although she can be very honest with her patients. I appreciate that, because she wants the best for her patients and their health. The only thing I wish Doctor kenaan would improve on, is spending more time with the patients. Don't get me wrong she does her best, but due to her appointments she can't stay and chat as long as she or the patient would desire to.
Dr. Kenaan has a horrible bedside manner, does not explain things, and appears bothered when asked questions. I was also prescribed a medication that did not have a generic at the start of my pregnancy even though I asked for the generic of a completely different brand. I certainly could not afford the price on it and had to get her nurse to call in my original request. I was also not informed that certain lab tests were optional in the beginning and ended up with an $800 lab bill that I would have opted out of otherwise. This did teach me, however, to ask if each test was actually required or optional. She has one nurse that is great but, one that appears bothered by any questions and is very condescending with her answers. If I had the chance to switch doctors to another in the office, I would and intend to after the birth of my child.
She walked in, gloves on, didn't introduce herself. No nurse in room, so I did not know she was the Dr. She proceded to pick something off the floor and put it in the waste basket! Then she was going to put her hands on me. I told her to wash her hands or something--she got very angry and curt. I was having a lot of pain in side of ab, so she gave me pain pills. I went to see her about the problem I was having again, I said could we do a myomectomy or something. She said "No, that is too bloody". Anyway I made a fast call to Watson Clinic and had the problem resolved within 6 weeks by a very competent and kind Doctor!
Just tries to upsell different medications. Gave me a prescription with no generic, even thought that is specifically what I asked for. I went to Dr. Kenaan to renew my prescription, because my insurance did not cover my current birth control and I was paying $80 a month. She gives me another prescription with no generic that is $80 a month. Thanks for nothing! Overall I rate her incompetent, more of a salesperson than a doctor.
I think she is a very thorough doctor and gives good care but she is lacking the human side. I continue to go to her because I trust her knowledge but the bedside manner is lacking. I always feel "foolish" when asking questions or needing to talk about problems related to her field. I always get a "pat" answer. I now just ask my primary when I need answers.
I had problems during my pregnancy and suspected what the problem was before she ever saw me or made the same diagnosis (I had to do my own research). Since then, I've felt like the nurse and Dr. weren't concerned when I was concerned about the pregnancy; it felt like they just brushed things off until I called and demanded to be seen or else I was going to get my medical records and change doctors. I liked Dr. Kenaan a lot better before I got pregnant. Her personality is very straightforward and she is not the type to "coddle" or sit with you until you feel ok when you get bad news (I was told I was high risk and losing the baby "could go either way") I appreciate the direct approach but her bedside manner is very professional and not very sensitive. The office staff makes it seem like you are inconveniencing them when you have to call for information, or even to check in and out; they are not very friendly or professional.
I always had to wait a long time past my appointment time to be called in - and then wait longer for the dr. I thought that I had PCOS and had to provide her with all of the data to support it. I did all the work a doctor is supposed to do - she just wrote a prescription. I was not satisfied with her or her staff and switched when I became pregnant.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
