Dr. Velez explains everything and asks if you have any questions. He is professional but also friendly and calming to talk to. He takes the time you need but also is right on schedule. His staff is great. They all make a great team!

Great Doctor.. I was hospitalized and he was there with good bedside manner every morning and spoke to educate me to understand issues.Blessed to be his patient. Highly Recommend

I have been treated for COPD many years now and it wasn't until I saw Dr. Romeu-Valez that I totally understood what I had and the options to deal with it. Took his time to explain everything to me. We have been working together and I feel much better because of it.

This is an amazing doctor. I am so lucky to have been referred here. All of the staff I encountered were genuine and caring. Very friendly and uplifting environment. As far as Dr. Velez, my life has been changed by meeting you. You have saved my life and I can not say enough for the true care and concern shown to me. Dr velez took time with me, explained my test results talked with me on a personal level rather then just like another patient. I felt calm, relaxed and not rushed out for one second. There are not many Drs like this or office staff so pleasant and I highly recommend them and again and so lucky to have been referred here.

Dr.Velez --very impressed with him , he did listen to all my concerns explained the answers to them. He and his staff are very professional and polite. He reduced some of my medicine. Overall I am very happy with him he is is a keeper.

If I could give zero stars I would.My mom had been seeing him in office for about a year prior to being admitted to WHH for resp. failure... I guess we figured he would 'follow' her care in the hospital seeing as how she was admitted for a pulmonary issue, he is a pulmonologist and because he has privledges at the hospital...Nope, he waltzed in 1 month post admission, was not clear with orders or testing, refused to order necessary equiptment for discharge & purposely avoided the family so we never knew what was going on in moms care.He is not kind, compassionate or caring. Good luck finding a GOOD or efficient pulminologist in Polk. We've struck out TWICE. DR. RAHEEM is even worse!In summary this dr is negligent.
