I know he is chief of staff and he is well regarded by his medical Peers. He has very high ethical standards and is doing quite well for me so far. He runs the right tests to figure out a solution to the issues a patient may have. His ability to analyze based on his knowledge sets him above most internal medicine Doctors.His staff is quite capable, responsive. Charla, APRN, is a hoot.

I went to Dr. Rivera for a Full Physical Exam. He asked a lot of questions, reviewed the results of my blood test, but never examined any part of my body. He waved the stethoscope past my chest and back but never even said "Take a deep breath." He did not ask me to disrobe. He did not do a rectal exam or look in my mouth or ears or anywhere. I waited weeks to get into see him and got 10-15 minutes of his time with no results.

I found him to be polite, knowledgable, and has a great bedside manner. I find it hard to believe the bad comments on here, as he has been nothing but professional. I feel he has my best interest at heart and truly has a calling to be a doctor.

Doctor is very eager to get finished with you as fast as possible. He has zero interest in you, will not talk to you outside of your "complaint", and tells you to go the ER for minor issues even when he is available in his office. My husband and I have endured this louse for 2+ years, and now that I have developed serious health problems we are switching doctors. I have NO trust in him, and even though I am havin severe, life-altering symptoms he referred me to a specialist in Lakeland (college buddy of his) with a six week wait for an appointment. There is another specialist right there in the clinic that could have seen me immediately, but no...he thinks my final cancer diagnosis can wait six weeks so his buddy can get the "business". Not a chance. Don't go to this guy...he just doesn't give a crap about you, your life, or your health.

Sent me to local hospital. But did not follow through on getting the treatment done. Hospital was unable to reach him all day. Claims he was a ER doc but hard to believe. Very hands off not willing to spend the time with patients. Poor communication skills, does not empathize with patient. Wants the patient in and out as fast as possible.
