List of Maria Martino's Reviews
Love Dr Martino. She took the time to talk to me and my husband. Addressing any questions or concerns that we had.
She took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. Great bedside manner.
Very thorough.
I appreciate that she took the time to explain everything to me with different birth control options.
Just left the Gessler Clinic OB/GYN. First, I’ve never been here before. The staff was not at all welcoming. After I got my new patient paperwork, I heard the staff openly speaking about NAMED patients’ outstanding bills. How embarrassing for those patients! I got called back timely. Upon reviewing my paperwork the nurse told me I would need to come for three separate appointments. One for a Pap smear, one for blood work and another for an ultrasound to determine the cause of my infertility. I can understand not doing all three at once, but certainly something could be doubled up on in one of those appointments. Seems like a way to just charge more for separate visits. The first appointment (today) was for a Pap smear. I undressed and put the paper gown on. When the nurse came in with me into the exam room, she asked if I was cold since I was wearing a long sleeve shirt. I told her I was comfortable because doctor’s offices tend to be on the colder side. This was true for this office,
She is a great doctor, plus she is bilingual. Im has been 2 years with her no complaints . She is an obstetrician too so that means that you will have a long wait sometimes but doesn't matter for me.
Her hands are incapable for doing surgeries and delivery of babies.
Wife went in on jan.13,2020 for hormone replacement therapy.total disaster punctured her right buttocks with needle so painful. Left huge knot in her went back and she gave my wife pain shot.didn't work went back again another shot same result. 10 days later went to lake wales ER.doctors found large hematoma in her and was treated for major pain with morphine and hydrocodone for pain.she has major hand problems with rheumatism.never go there. Horrible experience.please stay away. Dr.martino is a disaster.
Waited two hours in waiting room and one hour in exam room. She is friendly, and answers questions and is very knowledgeable but is exhausted and running unbelievable late. She explained she is having serious problems using her hands using tools needed in her surgeries and injections with needles, etc. She had an unbelievable difficult time trying to do a pellet implant on me. As she started to do the implant, she dropped the entire implant device. After she and her nurse recovered it all from the floor, she then began trying to give me the implant. It was very painful and took way to long to do. I've been getting implants for years so l know what and how this procedure is done. The following two weeks gave me really intolerable pain at the implant site. I had to apply neruomus compresses daily and resort to help from too many pain medications. Nights for sleep were painful and unnecessary. It may be wise for her to consider teaching. She has poor ratings other than mine.
Look her up she has multiple cases against her for not doing timely c-sections. This woman is very dangerous!!! There is multiple malpractice cases against her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
