Maria Socorro Pongos's Online Review Report Card

She's a good Dr. but her staff is not, they say thy will call you back or make appointments for you but they don't. I've been with her about ten years or more and it wasn't always like this. That's why I'm looking for another doctor.

Dr. Pongos is the best. Have been with her for almost 5 years. Being a doctor and staff for a doctor is a challenge. You see many people with many problems. understandably not always very happy. I think her staff does their best. When I need to I follow up on things too! Thanks to all

staff except Kristin sucks....have had to wait 1-2 weeks for a precsription to be called in for a diabetic no less..all Dr Pongas cares about is maintenance and farming you out and gets upset if you do not agree with what she wants.....I have never been treated so badly by a doctor ad I have by her

I have been with Dr Pongos for years and she has been amazing. She goes out of her way to provide the treatment that you seek and is very caring and comforting.

My experience with this provider was that she is interested solely in you getting your annual screening tests completed, regardless of current best practice evidence to support the use of such testing. I was being seen specifically for an autoimmune-based issue and wanted to try an atypical yet not an unusual or an off-label medication approach to my treatment (had tried all typical approaches previously without success). Dr. Pongos was not willing to do *any* research to increase her own knowledge in that area whatsoever, flatly stating she did not have time to learn about "all the new" treatments for this or that medical issue. She was not even willing to try. She seemed only interested that my annual screening tests were up to date. If that minimal care is all you want in a doctor, by all means be her patient. If you want a doctor who will work with you in a respectful manner, I suggest seeking medical care elsewhere.

My last visit with her was Nov 2014....for clearance for emergency back surgery.Her staff was told to get an immediate appointment with a heart Dr as my EKG 's were continually irregular...to this day they never did follow up.the staff is lousy. She is fine Since have found new Drs.Man Polk County seems to be a cess pool of wicks looking for the all mighty Dollar....

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Pongos for over 5 years. She is very good at spending time with us, she asks a lot of questions, makes us both feel like she really cares. She listens to our complains or problems. I have never had a problem with her office staff. Kristen always is willing to help, calls me back with answers to my questions, my referrals are made in a timely manner. I true fully can not say a bad word about Dr Pongos or her staff. I have referred many of my friends to her, none have had any complains .

If you're wanting a doctor to do little more than keep you up to date on your preventative or wellness screenings, this is the physician for you. If you are looking for a physician to listen to your healthcare-related needs, desires, and goals, I strongly encourage you to seek healthcare elsewhere.

I find Dr. Pongos to be a very personable and caring Dr. I n the years that I have been a patient of hers, she typically refers me to other Drs. I don't mean that to be a negative. The referrals have all been to the correct Drs where I received the correct treatment. Which is probably the function of a Primary Care Manager.
