Stay away from this guy. He doesn't know what he is doing ! Don't waste your time and money.
We were very happy with our first visit with Dr. Shabla.. he was very personable and knowledgeable.. we will surely be back in the future…
He was great a few years ago.Was told to come back in 3 years as I had cancerous polyps. When he finally got in the exam room he asked why was I there. Then he became very sure that I made up everything.Quite a while later he said to me “I don’t see your cane ,where is it.?”He didn’t know what the medicine Motegrity was and when I told him That I was going to pelvic floor therapy he said people will do anything for money.hmmmm time to retire Was a great Doctor!
He may be a well learned clinician, but he is the most miserable human being you will ever meet. He is arrogant, ill tempered and callus. To quote him directly "I don't really care what you do lady", which was his answer when my 77 year old mother asked him if he thought if it was serious enough that she needed to address it right away. He also said that she "has so many problems it would take a full time person to take of the likes of her" Additionally , he scolded her by saying "if you show up at the Emergency room and think I'm coming to help you.....I'm not coming" All of this to a sweet , quiet , scared 77 year old woman, who was only there because her primary care Dr. refereed her there for help...what she got was abuse and left in tears. A pitiful, excuse for a human being. Shame on Gessler Clinic for tolerating this behavior.
RE: Dr. Mark Shabla He may be a well learned clinician, but he is the most miserable human being I've ever encountered in 20+ years in this industry. He is arrogant, ill tempered and callus. To quote him directly "I don't really care what you do lady", which was his answer when my 77 year old mother asked him if he thought her condition was serious enough that she needed to address it right away. He also told her she "has so many problems it would take a full time person to take of the likes of her" Additionally , he scolded her by saying "if you show up at the emergency room and think I'm coming to help you.....I'm not coming" All of this to a genuinely sweet , quiet , scared 77 year old woman, who was only there because her primary care Dr. (Dr. Christian) refereed her there for help...what she got was abuse and then left in tears. I know quite well you get difficult and challenging patients. I assure you, this was not one of them. This was a pitiful excuse for a human being. Shame on him and Shame on Gessler Clinic if you tolerate this behavior. I would be quite surprised if this is isolated and the first time you have heard such concerns.
Dr Shabla is very thorough and works with you to get to the bottom of any medical issues, explaining what and why he's doing procedures and what the follow up will be. Would highly recommend him to others with gastrointestinal/liver questions.
Dr. Mark Shabla falsified my medical record in order to increase his bill. Months ago I confronted him in writing and request he correct the error. He has not responded.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
