Maurice Mccarthy's Online Review Report Card

This is a very odd office. I spoke with Diana at the front desk and was told I had to send over ALL records so the Doctor could decide if he wanted to take me on as a patient. I asked once he looked over records what would be the appointment timeline. She said she could not say when the Doc would look over the records. She doesn't know how he does things it could be next month or next year. How are you the front desk and speaking on behalf of the Doctor and can't give a timeline. It would be very stressful to do all this leg work for a doctor to say they may or may not see you. She seemed very annoyed with the questions but i have never come across an office like this. Very odd business practice.

I cold today for an appointment the appointment desk transfer me to the nurse the nurse told me they don't make appointmentso I was being kind of rude and I told her to make up your mind either you make that pointment or the appointment desk make me an appointment her answer was don't talk to me like that I don't have to listen to you right away I noticed that I was wrong as a human and as a person and a gentleman I was going to apologize to her but at that second she hung up on me not professional at all we all make mistakes and I did and I regret it

This was the most unprofessional and rude office I have ever had an experience with. I have been in dentistry for thirty years and have dealt with patients myself so I am extremely familiar with treating patients with courtesy and most of all respect. I was told to submit my husbands proof of insurance, all medical records, personalized referral from our general practitioner, etc so Dr. McCarthy could review his records and decide if he would accept my husband as a patient. This took a total of two months because the office kept having me re-fax the information. After all of this time one of the secretaries (who sounded like an elderly woman) was extremely rude and told me that he was not accepting new patients. When I questioned her as to why she waited two months to tell me this, she had no explanation and rudely hung up on me. It is a shame that a staff member can be this detrimental to a practitioner who has such a great reputation. I will never refer any of my patients to this office again. If I could give this office 0 stars I would.

Is very knowledgeable and current on his medical knowledge

Dr McCarthy is my husband doctor, and he is GREAT!!! Very personable, charming and knowledgeable. He had a great sense of humor, and remembers everything from visit to visit. Highly recommend!!

Dr. McCarthy is one of the best physicians I have ever had.

Dr. McCarthy has been my rheumatologist for many years. He goes out of his way to help. He is always very kind and the rest of his staff is wonderful as well! Would recommend. :)
