Most professional and compassionate care. I was very concerned with the state of my eyesight years after a cataract surgery. Dr Ort and his staff explained everything and assisted me thru the procedure with fantastic results. I was very impressed with the whole experience.

I am not happy with his operating cataract on my both eyes. the left is ok but right was better before cataract it gotten worse cant even read big letters numbers that is sad. I wish i could have been better of without operation.

I credit Dr. Ort for the good vision I have today. I was born with congenital bilateral cataracts and have amblyopia. Dr. Ort started treating from when I was 15-years-old up until I turned 29 and moved away from central FL. During my years as his patient, he properly fit me with contact lenses after my previous ophthalmologist failed to do so. He was truly dedicated to ensuring I achieve the best vision possible and was very professional and diligent in his care. When I turned 29, he performed intra-ocular lens implants on both eyes. I had to persuade him to do the surgeries; he was concerned about the risks involved as mine was a very challenging case. The surgeries were successful and I can happily report that almost 20 years later, I have had no complications with the implants and I enjoy good vision. I am sorry to hear a previous poster (Terri) was critical of Dr. Ort’s bedside manner. My experience as his patient for 14 years was completely different. He is direct but always professional and a highly skilled ophthalmologist. I firmly believe my vision would not be what it is today if it weren’t for Dr. Ort. He made a world of difference - he is a brilliant and talented doctor. I can’t thank him enough.

Dr. Ort has taken excellent care of me over the years. I have a family history of vision problems and he has monitored to make sure I don't have those issues. Thank you for your excellent service.

This is the worst Doctor I have ever experienced! I took Marie a 94 year old lady to see him and I did not expect him to be so down right rude! I am so upset that he can just talk to people any way he wants and get away with it! She is hard of seeing and hard of hearing and she could not hear him so I got up and spoke rather loudly into her ear and he said quickly and rudely I am not going to speak to her like that! I won’t and I can’t! I told him that he had terrible bed side manner and he should be ashamed of how he spoke to her and what he said! He told me today was a bad day he had a 95 year old a 90 year old and I believe a 93 year old and then Marie who is 94 years old. I told him how would you feel if this was your mother and someone talked to her like you did Marie. Do you think that maybe she would like to be able to hear? No Doctor should have a license if he can not treat his patients with respect! Never will I recommend this so called Doctor to anyone. One very upset, disappointed and discouraged friend. By the way his staff is nothing like him. They were very nice people! Nothing like him!
