List of Talha Shamim's Reviews
Excellent doctor
Been seeing Dr. Shamim for three years now with no issues. The new office waiting area is spacious. I like that he will take the time to listen and I got a referral to a dermatologist without a problem. To get a med refill I just leave a message and usually the same day the pharmacy is texting its ready.
Great experience with Dr. Shamim. Got an appointment quickly and has provided great service. The only issue I've had is that he is often behind schedule for the appointments. It seems to me that he spends a lot of extra time with his patients which makes him run late as the day goes on. However, that is typical of most doctors. The service and care he provides is top notch. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shamim.
I am unable to edit/revise a previous 5-Star review. This new 2-Star review is based on impossible staff members, who don't return phone calls and argue with patients: "With Medicare, you don't need a referral." They don't know the difference between physician-to-physician and insurance network referrals. For incredible inner ear pain, sudden hearing loss, and confusion, I called the office multiple times; no one returned calls. I went to the office, and the receptionist came back with a referral to Belltone Hearing Aid Center. I have Nero Pro premium hearing aids. I had needed a MEDICAL referral to a specialist, who required another physician to refer the patient. I had to go to the ER at the hospital with which the specialist is affiliated, to get an appointment, something Dr. Shamim could have done. Dr. Shamim has treated me for seven years. I have no complaints about the physician, only the incompetent staff.
When you leave his office your on your own. Nobody answers phone and when you leave message they don't call back.
Beautiful new office. Appointment was rushed, little interest, spent 90% of time inputting on his computer without any eye contact. His face mask was positioned below his nose! Overall a bad experience.
Had two instances in 30 days with no or poor response time from his staff. At today's visit when I complained there was no empathy. He told me I was welcome to seek medical care from another provider. NOT Acceptable
Very helpful and compassionate. Makes himself available when needed.
I was referred to Dr. Shamim by the ER Dr. Adam, who was very detailed with examining my pain. His support personal was excellent, also overall cleanliness was excellent. Dr. Shamim was especially skilled and very knowledgeable about my condition. I will certainly recommend Dr. Shamim to others wellness needs.
He does NOT listen to his patients and all he is interested in doing is prescribing medication after medication. He must be getting a kickback. He doesn’t take the time to get to know his patients and asks them “what should we do?”. The wait time is long and then he is in and out of the exam room in less than 5 minutes. He does not look at the bloodwork results with too much scrutiny and when he gets called on it, he made it seem like it was not a big deal. I would not doubt if he ends up getting sued one day for not properly diagnosing a serious illness and instead downplaying it. I would NOT go to this doctor!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
