My son was 22 months when we saw Dr. DeTorres. The doctor was very kind and gentle. My son was comfortable with him. My son's speech was delayed and he pronounced words like he was under water. We felt his hearing was affecting his speech. Dr. DeTorres put tubes in both ears and the same day of surgery, my son said 5 new words and whispered back for the first time. He could hear again! Yay! Now he is 25 months and meeting his speech milestones. Very happy with the doctor's care and skills. The only thing I would complain about is that the office told me I would not be billed for the post-op visit because it was included in the global bill of the surgery, but I still received a bill for his 2 week post-op visit and it has been difficult to reach someone in billing dept. over the phone to resolve this issue.

I went in for treatment for Tinnitus. I told the doctor I had adverse reactions to nasal sprays before (Bleeding and loss of sense of smell). Doctor recommended nasal spray again with knowing my previous reaction. I took a steroid spray for 4 weeks and by the end of it developed a lot of problems that has not gone away even after 3 months. Called the doctor's office and they recommended me see a different doctor at their office. They also said their allergy clinic would call me (never did). I called their allergy clinic a few times and never heard back. Tinnitus never improved from nasal spray that was recommended. Still have the Tinnitus, and now I have other problems added.

Actually met Dr DeTorres for the first time at the hospital. He performed a mastoidectomy among other things for my son. A top not surgeon!! Had the nurses call in the waiting room to let us know surgery was going to take longer than planned. After a six hour operation he came out, took his time and explained exactly what he found and had to do…INCREDIBLE bedside manner!! Less than 10 hours after surgery he was back at the hospital to check on my son. When my son experienced some complications after coming home….he retired our call in just minutes!! Top notch doctor we are blessed to have him!!
