Gideon Lewis's Online Review Report Card

Dr Gideon Lewis diagnosed me with an arthritic big toe joint. I had surgery to remove the bone spur a week ago. His care was top notch!! It is easy to see his passion, giftedness, love and dedication to his work and patients. It is rare to find a Dr that goes above and beyond but that is what you will find with Dr. G. Lewis. I'm so glad I traveled from the Midwest to have him perform my surgery.

This is by far the best medical practice I've been to. Dr. Lewis and his staff are really a model for doing things the right way. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The medical assistants are courteous and attentive. And Dr. Lewis does an excellent job assessing needs and providing care. I had an issue with a prior podiatrist who was overeager to perform surgery so I went to Dr. Lewis. He initially tried some conservative options but ended up doing to surgery to correct the problem. The post surgery care has been very good and the staff continue to impress. After visiting two other foot and ankle specialists in the area, none is as capable and efficient as Dr. Lewis. Highly recommend.

I feel Dr. Lewis pushes surgery unnecessarily and promotes expensive and experimental treatments which may not be effective or covered by insurance. He told me that with surgery, he could have me in regular shoes instead of a boot in a week. Not even close to the truth. He didn't hold to the protocols for anesthesia that we had discussed and didn't inform me ahead of time. I found out only when I arrived at the hospital and was in pre-op. It seems as if he is primarily interested in making as much money as he can from the patients who come in. The office is staffed by extremely young intern types. Perhaps they are less expensive to hire than experienced professionals. I literally saw him for less than ten minutes at any pre-op or post-op visit. The main office staff was helpful and friendly, if ham-strung to offer answers until speaking with "Doctor" who doesn't address issues immediately, even so they can pass along a message. Usually I would wait until the next day for an answer to my question. It's always about the bottom line. For me, it is adequate care and healing. For Dr. Lewis, I feel it's all about the money. I was disappointed.

After years of searching for a doctor to make my orthotics, I found Dr. Lewis in Orlando Florida. He makes the mold by hand and sends them off to the lab. I spent years getting digital imaging and thousands of dollars to no avail. I was treated respectfully by the entire staff and Dr. Gideon is a caring and consummate professional. I spent 5 years getting failed attempts at getting orthotics. I was so happy as due to prior overcorrected orthotics I developed Achilles tendonitis and other painful symptoms. He succeeded at giving me the ability to WALK again; no exaggeration. He also works with Track Shack which will fit you for the correct shoes to go with the orthotics, WOW! I highly recommend Dr. Lewis and his practice. I am so grateful.

I went to Dr Gideon J. Lewis for a torn Achilles’ tendon. After my surgery Dr Gideon J Lewis called me and I was able to ask him all the questions I had and told me to call him at anytime. I felt very taken care of and cared about. You don’t find a lot of doctors that make you feel this comfortable. I recommend this doctor to anyone with a foot and ankle injury.

I’ve had A painful bunion for many years. I went to many physicians to obtain surgical opinions. Most of the orthopedic and other foot surgeon said the recovery would take at least 6 - 8 weeks before I could walk in sneakers…. Thank goodness a friend recommended me to Dr. Gideon Lewis! He performed my bunion surgery and had me walking back in sneakers less than 2 weeks after surgery. Cosmetically my foot looks amazing…. I highly recommend Dr. Lewis to everyone. There’s no need to look anywhere else besides him!

Anyone who gives Dr. Gideon Lewis less than 5 stars is just plain crazy. First off, the office staff is so professional, kind and welcoming. Dr. Lewis is personable, intelligent and compassionate. I had been to a previous podiatrist that was absolutely no help whatsoever. Dr. Lewis addressed and fixed my ingrown toe nail issue and my husband's foot issue immediately. I give Dr. Lewis a google of stars! If you have any foot issues you need to go see Dr. Gideon Lewis and his staff in Winter Park. I cannot say enough thanks to Dr. Lewis and all of his staff. We have finally found the best doctor in the country.

Arrogant. Maybe he does know what he is doing but if you ask any questions or want to discuss ideas his answer is " Do they have a PHD?" He did cure my plantar fasciitis with the cortisone shots but that's pretty standard fare and any doctor could have done this and probably would have done the same treatment. The second visit when I wanted to talk to him he was very dismissive. I took both socks off during my follow up even though I had issues in just the one foot he seemed annoyed asking me why I took off both socks. Sorry I didn't think that would offend you Doctor. Spent minimal time actually speaking to me and the visit felt rushed. His last statement was you don't need to come back which felt to me like please don't come back. Don't worry I won't.
