Henry Ruiz's Online Review Report Card

I crawled off the operating table at Stringfellow Hospital because he did not tell me he was going to a fusion surgery on my neck and cut a bcaone out of hip. Plus he was going to do carpal tunnel surgery right in his office.

Stay away from this man. He butchered my wife and was fired 3 months later from the hospital for very high infection rates. Stay away!!!

Dr. Ruiz has operated on my neck and he did an awesome job. When I would go to appointments he always took time and explained things to me. He never rushed to get out and he was very compassionate. He has suggested back surgery and when I decide to have it done Dr. Ruiz is the Dr. that I trust to do it. I highly recommend Dr. Ruiz. Also his office staff and nurses are very nice. I have not had a bad experience so far.

Lee, Gadsden,AL;; I've had 2 neck surgery's, one are and one hand worked on, I will not go any where else. The last neck I was in recovery and sitting up in the bed, the look on his face was very funny, he said " why are you up, you should still be out of it". Took the brace off and went home the next day Ms. Carla is also great, she can explain things as well as he can. Just a great place and great staff, never had a problem. Would and have Recommended him to a lot of people.

Dr.Ruiz has seen me in the office 4 times out of 15.times just to explain procedures and he was gone again. He is always in a hurry. It's as if my questions and concerns are not important. His assistant however has seen me answered my calls and reassured me when I felt he cared less. Unfortunately for me no one else will touch me and they tell me to see the surgeon who did my "surgery". I have had complication after complication. I should have had a second opinion from another surgeon.

I could not have asked for a better more qualified person to work on my mother. He is a great man very skilled and extremely compassionate. I thank God for him.

I would highly recommend Dr.Ruiz,I've had cervical disc fussion had mediately pain relief when I woke,Did a wonderful Job, four years later I had to have lower back l 5 surgery done, Dr Ruiz was upfront with me on what to exspect after surgery, Is Assiant Carla S. was wonderful on all my visits under Dr Care.Staff was wonderful, Always their for me on every call I made, Dr Ruiz, Carla and staff really really great

DR Ruiz came into the waiting room with a model of a human spinal cord, he began to tell me what was going wrong in my lower spinal cord. He told me how he would fix my problem and then he told me why he would do it that way. With in 2 mos after surgery I have no pain in my leg's nor my back as I did before surgery . I feel better now than I have in the past 6 year's. I would highly recommend DR Ruiz. There is not enough space here to tell how great my life has changed because of DR Ruiz

I had a fusion done by Dr Ruiz. The fusion never fused even though Ruiz told me it did. I had a broken screw and another screw backed out and was popping when I moved. I ended up having to go to another Dr in Birmingham and have the whole surgery redone. Now I have permanent nerve damage.

My mother in law went to him many years ago.. The last surgery (was suppose to replace a shunt) he decided to pull the old one out that was attached.. Later that day he told us he pulled the shunt and brain tissue (gray matter) was still attached. His nurse looked at me wide eyed like she couldn't believe he just told me that. My mother in law never pulled out of ICU and died within 10 days. He writes over his records so no can press charges.. Please do not go to him, he is only out for money..
