Excellent empathetic competent doctor. Did my surgery 14 years ago. Right hip replacement. This man loves his craft. Never had a problem ever with the hip or his office. As a matter of fact, 6 months after my first replacement I slipped and fell and he did a second replacement. Immediately after I went to the er, I was in surgery the next evening. He listens to the patient also. He followed my advice and ordered morphine for my pump after surgery even being that the nurses were insistent that fentanyl was better. Nope. Morphine works for me and fentanyl didn’t touch the pain. Thanks doc! I heard he retired but maybe he still operates? The world is blessed with such a talented man and his hands.
Dr. John McCutchen is compassionate, very competent. He makes it easy for the patient to talk with him, and indeed allows for complete trust in him as your doctor. He is just the most perfect doctor. Oh, where is Dr. John McCutchen now?
Dr McCutchen did hip replacement for a family member years ago. . He was great! Surgery was fast with no loss of blood . Healing was also fast and clean without any problem. His great experience and competence .... plus empathy and patience gives one a lot of confidence.. Many friends and family would like to see Dr. McCutchen again.
Dr. McCutchen is the best hip surgeon anywhere. I had a right hip replacement & the recovery was fantastic. Within 6 weeks, I was walking without assistance & have had no problems at all following the surgery. Unfortunately, Dr. McCutchen has retired & I now have to search for a doctor with the same qualifications & expertise & I don't know if there is another one as fine as Dr. McCutchen.
Dr. McCutchen is THE HIP DOCTOR!! He is professional, kind, great bedside manner, great staff, great follow up, great surgeon! For 18 months prior to my hip replacement surgery I met many people who had this procedure. Everyone who had Dr. McCutchen had wonderful experiences with him. A couple of people I met who had a different surgeon had complications, like the leg becoming too short after the replacement. Another friend's hip replacement had to be redone because the hip kept popping out of the new socket. Dr. McCutchen does it right every time, all the time.
I saw Dr. McCutchen for a mild hip problem and I was not impressed. He seemed rushed and not interested...but maybe that's because my condition is not too serious? He answered my questions, but I felt like I had to ask him to give me more time because he just wanted to get out of the room. The best thing I can say about him is he was very punctual and that is rare.
Dr. McCutcheon and his nurse Kim are wonderful, attentive, patient, smart and took the time to answer all questions and concerns. He performed my husbands hip surgery in January and my husband was up and walking the next day and six weeks later he is better than he ever was before the surgery, he can actually walk without a limp, tie his shoe and sleep on his side, something he hasn't been able to do in 10years. The best Surgeon and Nurse I have ever come in contact with. I would and will recommend him to everyone I know. If you need Hip Replacement Surgery he is your man.
He is the reason I am still walking. I have multiple hip revisions and have broken both legs. I have had eight surgeries on my hips and Dr. McCutchen has done the last four surgeries. Wonderful doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
