I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with the surgical procedures performed by Dr. Emtage. My initial kidney stone, which measured 1.25 inches, prompted me to seek medical attention. However, after the surgeries, I was dismayed that I was left with only half of the original stone size. Adding to my disappointment, the second surgery performed by Dr. Emtage yielded no results whatsoever. Despite the promise of medical intervention, I found myself in the same predicament as before, with no improvement in my condition. Furthermore, the lack of effective communication from the front office staff only compounded my frustration. Attempting to seek information, updates, or clarification about my condition has been an exercise in futility. My calls went unanswered, and I was met with unresponsiveness and a lack of support during a time when I needed it the most. In conclusion, my experience with Dr. Emtage and his medical team has been marred by unsuccessful surgeries, unresolved health issues, and inadequate communication. I am deeply disappointed with the quality of care and the lack of attention given to my medical needs. I saw Dr Emtage one month ago today. Was told I needed surgery & I would be contacted by Danielle, the surgical scheduler. I called 10 days later & was told that it takes 2-3 weeks to get scheduled for surgery. It is now four weeks later, & I contacted office this morning. Was told to call back because Danielle doesn’t arrive until after 10:00 am. Called back at 10:15 & was told that she was in a meeting. The office staff called me back a few minutes later & said that I had to have my primary do my physical & EKG before my surgery could be scheduled. Now my primary doesn’t have paperwork & my insurance company has not been contacted for authorization. I don’t think I am being unreasonable asking to schedule my surgery after four weeks, even if it is three months down the road. I had to put off other surgeries for this. I will be going to yet another surgeon & delay my surgery even further. I am not impressed with the way Dr Emtage’s office is run or the scheduler. If you are thinking of going to see Dr. Emtage, don’t bother. It isn’t worth the tears, heartache & time wasted waiting for a phone call that isn’t going to come. I hope that Dr Emtage & his staff never have a cancer scare & have to be treated as his patients are being treated. It is heartbreaking that Healthcare workers are treating patients so poorly during a very scary time in our lives. No compassion!

I hate to give this doctor a low rating because I had such high hopes when I first met him and his staff. I met with this doctor twice, and he appeared to be very attentive and answered all my questions. But this post is more about his incompetent office staff and Office Manager than about him. Dr. Ematage told me I would need surgery, and the nurse came in and told me someone would call me in a week to schedule. I spoke with the Scheduler, Danielle, before I left his office that day, and she told me the same thing the nurse had said, but there were 12 people ahead of me she had to schedule first. 2 weeks went by, and I heard nothing from this office. So I called Danielle myself and asked why there was no call to schedule my surgery in a week, as I was told. She says, "I didn't tell you that. I told you in a couple of weeks." LIES! Danielle did say in a week. Then she told me that "I had 55 people ahead of me that she had to schedule" instead of the 12 she initially told me in the office. So I asked to speak to her supervisor, and after telling her, the situation, it did NOT make it any better. She said Danielle would call me with a follow-up on scheduling by January 18 -- over a month away. By then, I had dismissed this entire office and just went and found myself another Urologist.

Wow! This doctor listened to all of my concerns and questions and answered patiently and compassionately. I’ve been working with his partner, Dr. Steinberg, and both are referred to by other Doctors, as the best of the best. I feel like I’m in good, confident hands with Dr. Emtage. This office is one of the friendliest around. My appointments have been on time and efficiently quick.

I have been trying to contact his office for 2 weeks now. I leave messages and no one responds. It is a constant struggle to reach anyone and it is unacceptable when he comes so highly recommended. Not a very good representation of his office!

My experience is terrible, saw nurse for two cultures. There were not good. They scheduled a procedure. I have called three times for info on what to do before then. They do not even call back. I guess I'm suppose to suffer while waiting. Time to find new doctor.
