I had Visian ICL surgery last week with Dr. Herschel and can now see 20/15! For someone who has worn glasses or contacts for 25 years, this has been a life changing experience. After a huge letdown by Hunter Vision, who took my money and then said the technology didn't exist yet to give me 20/20 vision, I spoke with Lindsey at Herschel LASIK, desperate for an answer. She got me in for an appointment the next day! Dr. Herschel did an extremely thorough eye exam and diagnosed me with keratoconus, and then came up with a plan to get me out of my glasses. I started a dry eye regiment to help get me prepared for surgery and to ensure I would have the best results after. From there, Norma hooked me up by scheduling all of my appointments within 3 weeks. This staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of! So in 2 months I went from being devastated that I would be in glasses forever, to seeing better than most people around me! Absolutely the rudest, most unfriendly “doctor” I have ever encountered!!!! Does not explain procedures etc, when you ask or don’t understand he get an attitude. He even insinuated to me I complained about my issues!!! He is a burnt out doctor.

I went to Dr. Herschel for cataract surgery which is coming soon. He took the time to explained all my concerns, he has excellent bed side manners, he listens to you and he cares. The staff at Magruder is fantastic. My thanks to Mia, she explained everything regarding everything concerning insurance, which plan to choose for the surgery and acted fast regarding everything single questions and solving it, compassionate, caring and great. Gloria, what can I say, she is great, take the time to call you back even after hrs as well and taking care that your papers are in order and all is perfect the way it should be for you. Very compassionate and caring. Yesenia, surgery scheduler for Dr. Herschel. She is caring, she also call you back to accommodate you the best way for you. If there’s a cancellation she will call you back to accommodate you. Jade, thank you for going the extra mile when I walk in with an emergency last week prior to surgery. Where he is s good doctor. I find it very uncomfortable with him because he very selddom smiles and does not have good “bedside manners”. Should be much more friendly and “SMILE”

Love, love, love Dr. Herschel! He is not the chatty, warm and fuzzy kind of doctor but he is the kind that does not give up and works to solve the problem. I mean seriously works at it. My mother-in-law's arthritis attacked her cornea and it has not been an easy fix, but he really cares about patient outcome. Appreciate his dedication!

I was wanting to get LASIK surgery. I had visited many doctors. I chose Dr. Herschel because of how thorough he was. I'm so happy with my great vision and can't even begin to tell you how amazing his staff is. Thanks you Dr Herschel and staff for making me feel like family.

Extremely thorough and informative during my visit. I was getting a second opinion on an eye problem that has not been improving from another doctor. I was so relieved and happy to find an answer and a treatment plan, I have all the confidence in Dr. Herschel.

Professional spent time explaining my diagnosis helping me to understand my options
