List of Rebecca J Kurzon's Reviews
I received a call today 11/21/2022 for my December 5th appointment asking me to reschedule to May. I asked the office associate if this was the first available appointment, 5 months later? She responded yes and made zero effort to find a different date. This office associate didn’t offer an apology or seemed empathetic at all. I told her I would have to seek a new doctor and she said ok and hung up on me. This is the second interaction where this practice has been extremely rude to me. I will be seeking a new Ophthalmologist that doesn’t keep the client waiting 5 months for a reschedule appointment and where the staff is kind and understanding. Unbelievable!
Beware of Dr. Kurzon and this practice. She was ready to perform cataract surgery so I decided to get a second opinion from the Florida Eye Clinic. I'm NOT a candidate and they were concerned that Dr. Kurzon was set to perform this surgery. I wasn’t even close on the eye chart scale and just needed a follow-up eye exam every year. What a scam!!!
Dr. Kurzon, if you ever read this message, your staff told me that you NEVER have cancellations!! And proceeded to hanged up on me because I kept asking for their names! Companionate Doctor possibly, your staff is very unprofessional and rude!
Been there for a few years. Never been to a different one. Has anyone had their upper eyelid surgery done by dr Kurzon?
Amazing Doctor. I have been going to her since she opened her practice. I recently had Blepharoplasty surgery that went perfectly. I also had cataract surgery on both eyes. I see better now than I ever did with contacts o glasses. Her staff is always professional and polite. I have never had one bad experience. Wonderful Doctor and staff.
Always friendly Staff. Dr KURZON excellent Dr. All my procedures worked well. Highly recommend.
I received a call from a staff person about changing an upcoming appointment because the doctor was going to be out of the office. I told her to cancel all appointments and I would would reschedule at a later date! They levied a 35 dollar fine for a missed appointment. I told them that my 92 year father living on a fixed income that we would change doctors and not pay this 35 dollar fee. I did this, then they sent the 35 dollar late fee to a collection company. Now I am going to have to roll my 92 year old father in to court. How punitive! She has a million dollar operation and she goes after someone for a 35 dollar late fee and he is no longer a patient!
She is a qualified doctor. However, I received a call from a staff person about changing an upcoming appointment because the doctor was going to be out of the office. I told her to cancel all appointments and I would would reschedule at a later date! They levied a 35 dollar fine for a missed appointment. I told them that my 92 year father living on a fixed income that we would change doctors and not ...
She did my cataract lens replacement and a blepharoplasty (different years). I have had excellent results and love her skill and demeanor.
I have been to Dr. Kurzon' office three times and just got worse and worse experiences. Dr. Kurzon seems okay, though not a fantastic caring doctor. The clinic doesn't do modern imaging diagnosis for penitent's record. All is rely on Dr. Kurzon's eye balling your eyes (with dilation). The medical records they provide is lack of details and ridiculously full of self-created patients' evaluation, like "all questions answered to the patient's satisfaction" which is zero value to the patient, let along it is an unprofessional evolution they make up themselves. When I called in to ask for some details about an issue with my eye, the staff told me something but refuse to add it to the printed record and gave me the reason that the information belongs to the Dr's own notes about the patient that cannot be released to the patient in a medical record. Either they are ignorant about patients rights or they are lying to or fooling patients. When I got my contact lenses prescription at the front desk, I noticed that the information of "Dia (diameter)" is left blank. I asked about it. The staff could n't give the number, instead of saying she would go back check, she tossed me off by saying BC (base curve) is the same thing as "Dia" (BC parameter is included in the prescription). Later on I looked up online and found BC and Dia (both showing up in a prescription) are not the same thing and for me the Dia number is far from that of BC. When I asked for the price for contact lenses in the prescription she just handed me, she gave the price for completely different contact lenses. Everyone could make mistakes even at a professional workplace. For this ophthalmology office, the bigger issue is that they don't feel apologetic at all for their unprofessional wrong doings and they became rude when you pointed out the problems. If one staff cannot win the argument because they don't have a good stance, they put on another staff who would just be more rude and tried to hang up the phone on you. Not trust worthy staff. Inside the clinic, there is an optical shop which is very good.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
