While the overall patient service from the staff may not be the best, Dr. Kurzon surpasses all expectations. Her excellence is so remarkable that any other shortcomings become in consequential in comparison.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rebecca Kurzon for over 15 years. She is a fantastic doctor and surgeon. Thanks to Dr. Kurzon, I have my eyesight. I can recommend Dr. Kurzon, without hesitation to anyone seeking a highly qualified and capable ophthalmologist

I have gone to Dr. Kurzon for several years. My cataract surgery went well. At my last exam she recommended blepharoplasty. It has been a long month - short story, one eye is coming along. The other eye is a disaster. She prescribed antibiotic ointment I was allergic to (she knew that) and my eyelids peeled from the reaction. The stitches came out the FIRST NIGHT while I was sleeping. Now I have a 1/2-inch gap where my eyelid should be. I have raw tissue exposed. It is hideous. It will be a long time until my eyelid heals, if ever. At my last visit her response was indifferent and condescending. Her "minion" briefed her that I was upset. She didn't call me back until 45 minutes after my appointment time. She said my stitches came out because "I raise my eyebrows when I speak". NO! she didn't knot the stitches correctly. I am disgusted, disappointed and angry! Such a betrayal. Find a different doctor rather than take a chance with her. Own your mistakes and correct them.

The girls manning the office suck. Called to make appt. They took info and said could I hold and I did and then said don't worry we will get back to you and I sat on hold for 5 mins. and nothing. I hung up. I assume they just went to lunch. I am sad as my hubby needs help with his interocular lense and he has seen her before. She lasered his eyes. I'm going to look for someone who hires a good staff.

Office Mgr., Desiree, instructs staff to overcharge & completely disregards insurance co-pay guidelines. When FL Blue called to dispute the charges after the claim had been paid and Explanation of Benefits issued, she REFUSED to refund the $90 and said office policy was to charge no matter what the insurance co-pay schedule required and then AFTER the claim was paid by insurance, they would review and refund the $90 when she deemed and not before. When FL Blue called her, she was rude and refused to refund the $90 to me even though the claim had been processed 2 months earlier, and 6 months later, she REFUSES to refund the $90. I wanted to discuss with Dr. Kurzon, but Desiree insisted on ANOTHER $90 fee to see the doctor and discuss. If only the doctor was aware of how her staff is treating her patients, I am certain she would not abide by this dishonest treatment and pocketing of fees that were not due. I have been a patient of Dr. Kurzon's for at least 15 years, although since she has moved during those years, my file had been lost and shows only a few years of history, per Desiree, who laughingly disputed my longevity as a patient. I have NEVER been treated so poorly as this office manager treats Dr. Kurzon's patients, and I cannot believe that the doctor knows this is happening. I would be a new patient with a foreign body in my eye which was swollen shut. I informed the receptionist about this and the earliest they could see me was 7 weeks out. I said I have something in my eye and the receptionist said "well, that's the best we can do." Stay away, MD only means MayBe!

First time patient here at the office. When I first meet Dr. kurzon. I did know who she was. I asked if here name was Dr. Rebecca kurzon cause she didn't introduce herself until she corrected me. I I apologize for that cause it was my first time in the office . I felt like I was treated like a number that I wasn't important to them. Just saying how I felt. But apparently that just how I felt . Here assistant claim that she was in the room the whole time. I told her no you weren't and that by saying I was rude to the whole staff. I only saw 3 people that were taking care of me and the people at the front giving me my next appointment. I don't know what they are doing but I felt uneasy and not welcomed.
