Ronald Oppenheim's Online Review Report Card

I had a horrible experience with Dr Oppenheim. He prescribed a large dosage of Keppra, which knocked me out for hours . When I asked him to write down his diagnosis, he handed it to me on a yellow sticky. I was able to get an appointment at Mayo Clinic with Dr Sirven . I am alive today because I did not go back to Dr Oppenheim

They were consulted during my hospital stay. Horrible manners. He rushed into the room without knocking, spoke really fast during the whole 2 minutes he spend there and just left. Not professional at all.

I wish they were a no star choice for me to choose. Brought my husband to this doctor and was the biggest mistake I had made. He doesn’t care for the need of the patient, very careless and unprofessional. Don’t recommend him to no one.

Listens to your issues and addresses each one. Sees you promptly with little to no waiting. Saff is very caring and make sure you are seen to in a professional way.

Kate is amazing. So far so good. Dr. Oppenheim saw my husband in the ER and needed to see him when he was released so I needed to make an appointment but to be honest after reading these reviews I was hesitant. However, when I called today and got Kate she was nothing but professional, helpful, understanding and speedy. She went through the whole process with me, took all my information, made us an appointment in October and off the phone I was. No waiting no asking the same question over and over. I'd say if you hesitated to book an appointment before with these doctors please try again. Thanks Kate for giving us a good first impression. See you in October!!

My chiro told me they were good people for my SEVERE symptoms I am experiencing. He sent a referral and said they would call as I need this ASAP and am new to Florida and my new pcp appt is later in August and my insurance does not require a referral. So I call and they said so rude "We don't call patients." ok.. how am I suppose to know my referral was received?? And then tells me that they dont accept chiro referrals. office policy. Which is totally fine as my insurance does not require one but why would you not call and at least let a new patient know??? And then I tried to talk and she talked over me and kept asking who am I suppose to see? As if I know! Obviously a neurologist. I tried to explain I was in the ER and they referred me to a neurologist who is out of network for my insurance. And she kept talking over. VERY RUDE. why are you in patient care if you don't really care? RUDE. Never again. Go somewhere else. Lol looked at the other reviews and they agree. Staff on the phone are very rude.

I set up my appointment on the phone and they told me it was 11:30am. I get there and the lady says it's at 12:45pm. We went to Mead Gardens in the meantime and got back at 12:35. Then the lady says my appointment is actually at 1pm. The doctor called us closer to 1:15. I told Dr.O that I had a seizure this month and I haven't had a seizure in 10 years. The last medication i took, Keppra, gave me suicidal thoughts so my old doctor took me off it. Dr. O then went ahead and said he strongly recommends i get on medication right away and that i should get on Keppra since I've already been on it before. I asked how did he know what i needed if i hadn't even had any studies done yet, he then said that he'd give me an order for an EEG. But I should decide on a medication as soon as possible and he recommends Keppra or something similar to it.

Ok, I agree with others that the staff service is super rough. However, the doctor himself, the whole point of going, is very intelligent, efficient, to the point, and seems to understand and respect what people are going through. Don't expect too much with personability though! :). He is to the point and a man of few words. But those few words are indeed full of knowledge and you can take his word to the bank. I would definitely recommend him. As long as you can get over the staff :).

I am a fairly new patient. Dr. Oppenheim has been wonderful with trying to get to the bottom of my condition. He has a calming personality with the ability to talk about all possible diagnosis. I feel extremely confident that he won’t stop until his gets me answers. His staff is absolutely incredible. They have been extremely prompt in getting me set up for all of the testing I’ve needed and have been very quick to get me scheduled for an office visit with Dr. Oppenheim. I honestly can’t say enough great things about Dr. Oppenheim & his office! 10/10
