After all of my life without an overnight stay in a hospital, I managed to do it twice in 2021. Lucky me! Thanks to everyone who helped me and for being a part of my 700th Review. (Review 600 was a hospital too and I don't plan on making this a habit).10 STARS FOR THE STAFF. Everyone I encountered was friendly, patient, caring and seemed to be loving what they did. The Nurses, Techs, Doctors, Patient Transport, MRI, EKG, XRay, Radiology, Imaging, Dietary and other people were all there to serve me for whatever I needed. Many thanks for helping me at all hours of the day and night. They were a little slow with reading results of tests which was a little frustrating. And those wheelchairs they use to move you from your room to MRI or wherever were gawd awful uncomfortable. The head nurse asked me how my Environment of Care was and I ripped those chairs to shreds. They don't handle bumps very well (going into an elevator) and the foot pads are tubular metal which doesn't feel all that great, even with those awesome socks on. Those chairs are pretty much the reason for a loss of a star. I thought I was getting assistance off of an airplane. Yikes! Hopefully someone reads this and does something about those terrible transport chairs. Kudos to the staff who manages to deal with them and slow to a snails pace with every tiny threshold they have to cross. They did everything necessary to make sure I was not in more danger when I would leave. They explained the results, why they needed the other tests, and gave me some advice on preventing this in the future. This was the second time I had to walk out of a hospital this year and I'm grateful I was able to. Thanks to the staff here and thanks to ALL of the people who work in healthcare and put in the long hours. THANK YOU!!! I hope you hear it every day, and if you don't, know that you're appreciated so much!
Poor customer service and neglect on treatments. The night shift sucks and very unprofessional. That staff drop the ball on so many different levels. I would say they need more staff but there was plenty doing absolutely nothing but talking about their personal life and in between conversations about patients personal information. The lady that collects payments was very disrespectful, rude and insulting. The doctor got his education off of webmd. People of color do not stand a chance at this ER because they do not listen. You have to have no pulse to be treated at this location.
Rude, condescending, zero compassion.
My aunt was admitted 10/22 for what her kids thought was palliative care. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer the Friday before and had gone home with hospice care that was less than appropriate so when they started looking for solutions to her pain they were told to go to Advent and they would help her. She was admitted and told there were treatments for her diagnosis and was she "ready to fight". For the first 24 hours they didn't even give her an I.V. until her daughter demanded meds for her pain. When I came Sunday morning she had been given meds and told they were supplementing her with Tylenol. Are you kidding me? After four hours she again started becoming increasingly agitated and was totally not communicating other than groaning. We begged the head nurse to get a doctor in there. She had been there 48 hours and no doctor in sight except for a meds doc that ordered Tylenol to go with a pain med as needed. He obviously had not dealt with a stage four cancer patient to know how much pain they are in. We were told at 4:00 that the oncologist was going to be calling us any minute and to stay by the phone. No call ever came. No palliative doctor ever came in the entire weekend. We were told they don't work on the weekend. Again are you kidding me? Monday came and they wanted to start doing numerous tests on her, some of which had been done just a week earlier at a different hospital. One test they were going to have to move her to a different hospital because it could not be done there. At this point she had not spoken since Saturday. She never spoke again but to cry. Her kids refused to let them transport her in her condition for testing. Again her medication for pain on Tuesday morning was missed because her I.V. blew. She was down to 107 pounds and couldn't get a vein. Now had to wait for a phlebotomist from another facility to come and try to get a vein. Four hours later we suggested a pic line. Mind you we have no medical experience. They thought that would be a good idea. By Wednesday her children called a hospice facility to please help and they came and she was moved on Thursday. They were told on the way out the few tests they did on Tuesday showed her cancer was spread to her brain, liver and kidneys. Absolutely would never bring anyone I love to this hospital. Their goal was to do procedures on my aunt, not to help her die with dignity. She left this world Friday night and is now with the Lord but the six days of agony she spent in this facility is absolutely not acceptable.

I'm writing a review specifically for nurse Holli, shes awesome. If shes ever your nurse you're gonna love her shes super sweet and accommodating, she'll take wonderful care of you. By far the best nurse i have ever encountered.
I had a great experience at this hospital's emergency room. There was no wait time when I went in so I was seen immediately. The nurses were competent, very caring, and funny too. The doctor did not make me feel rushed in any way and answered all of my questions thoughtfully. Additionally, the doctor took time to walk me through the results from my tests and explain what they meant. I came here after seeing that the Oviedo ER wait time was about 5 hours so I was surprised with the speed that this location was able to get me in!
Have been trying to get appointments to see doctors for months. I couldn't wait anymore when I woke up with deep purple urine that went away in the afternoon and returned the next AM. I went to ER with gross hematuria and was given antibiotics. Got home and read the doctors notes only to find out there was no clear indication of a UTI. In the doctors notes, she wrote that I denied having nausea (I was dry heaving and holding an emesis bag stated I had been nauseous for two months), that I had no back pain (not remotely true. I told her I have severe back pain from scoliosis, and that I may not notice additional pain as much because I am always in pain), and that I have normal range of motion in my back (I had a 12 vertebrae spinal fusion; it's in my patient history. The provider didn't read it nor did she ask). I told her I had a family history of kidney problems, and they sent me for a CT scan. The provider told me before she did any tests that it was a UTI. Then she did the tests, came back and told me it was a UTI, and gave me antibiotics. Nothing else. I saw in the notes the doctor read and acknowledged the CT scan results that I have kidney stones, but did not tell me. She ignored my concerns when I said it was not like any UTI I had ever had, and the timing and quantity of blood in urine in AM vs rest of day was consistent with a UTI. And of course, I had to pay over a grand for this poor treatment. The only reason I have given two stars instead of one is that the nurses and the other staff were great.
The hospital is horrible! The system is messed up. My mother in law went to this hospital for pneumonia, pulmonary high blood pressure and bronchitis. She was there for a few days. While being at this hospital they did not allow her to shower. Not that they have showers in each room. They have common showers you have to be cleared by a doctor to use. Who would want to risk using a public bathroom during covid in a hospital?! Not only that my mother in law was in the old building. The new building got their breakfast, lunch and dinner before those at the old building. The food wasn't all that great either. I'm giving this review a 2 star just because my mother in law said that at least the nurses were nice and they brought stuff to help my mother in law wipe down in bed because the showers were apparently off limits to my mother in law. I feel like patients should be treated better and the facilities should be updated before having people stay there. If it wasn't for the nurses I would have given a 1 star. It is very unacceptable and unprofessional to also send someone home without any medicine, antibiotics or any papers or information about the reason for being there in the first place, or follow up care. My mother in law was sent home with nothing and still doesn't feel well. Never going to this hospital again.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
