First Choice Pediatrics's Online Review Report Card

Literally the most unprofessional office I ever dealt with. They never answer the phone always messing up paperwork and it’s ridiculous.

Adding to my previous statement. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE Had to miss work today because of this place. Was today that my grandsons test results were FAXED the same day 9 days ago and no results in the Dr. Office. My grandson is not well and has been hospitalized 3 times. These people know NOTHING. CANT FIND OR HAVE NO IDEA THE SCREENING RESULTS.

Dr. Dela Pena is an amazing doctor and has always treated our sons with the most respect and professionalism she is very sweet kind and caring. The staff at the Winter Springs location have always been nice too so this review is not about them. The review is directed to the First Choice Pediatrics practice itself which leaves something to be desired. A couple of years ago they decided to change their phone system to a call center which takes 2025 minutes just to answer the phone sometimes more. You no longer have the option to call a specific location so basically whoever is available will eventually answer. Last week we had an appointment but we had a last minute delay and I knew we were going to be a bit late so I tried to call to let them know. The ride from where I was to the Winter Springs office is about 35 minutes it took about 25 minutes for someone to answer the phone and when they finally did it was actually someone in the Apopka office who had to look us up so she put me on hold for another 10 minutes so by that time we had already made it to Winter Springs without ever talking to anyone. If you want to make an appointment or have a nurse question good luck getting a response The few times Ive complained about this their only response is to use their website portal for everything so you basically never talk to anyone unless youre there. Also they rarely return phone calls when they say theyre going to call you back.We have had this issue many times and so we decided to switch practices I need to be able to get a quick response a have someone reliable for our children.

Office is amazing HOWEVER I give it 3 stars because to communicate to their front staff to just move my daughter’s appointment time I was on hold for 2 HOURS.

Dr. Dela Pena has been an amazing doctor for us and the staff at the Winter Springs location have always been nice but the FCP practice itself leaves something to be desired. They use a call center which routinely takes 2025 minutes just to answer the phone. They rarely return phone calls when they say theyll call you back Ive received only one call back from their office since we started going to FCP. If your child requires therapy services be aware that they require their own staff to complete a second evaluation on your child they call it a 45minute screening for every plan of care which is every 6 months for us. Our therapy office had been waiting for a week for them to sign a POC before FCP called to let us know about the duplicate screening which completely suspended my childs services until FCPs next available appt which is only available one day a week. The call center and the office rarely know what the other are doing resulting in my having to make multiple calls to get the simplest of tasks taken care of like trying to track down results of my childrens socalled rapid COVID testing. In my experience its quicker for me to walk up to the office to get something sorted than have to deal with trying to get a hold of anyone by phone which isnt ideal for many patients.

They are the best

I like the stage and the Dr is very good with my kid they are really good here
