Andrew Halperin's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Halperin was my OB for my 3rd baby. Being that I was originally from out of state, I started going to him about halfway through my pregnancy. He wasn't very friendly from the get go. I tried to talk to him about doing a 2nd Vbac, my 2nd baby I had a successful Vbac with, with absolutely no issues. He refused. Then, when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, he really gave me no information about it. I had to use Google and friends who'd had it previously to understand more about it. Thankfully, I was able to deliver with my previous OB out of state towards the end, because I just didn't feel comfortable with him. You can say we're being "sensitive" or "hormonal," but mom's have these feelings for a reason. Always trust your gut! I did, and my 3rd with my previous OB turned out to be my best delivery yet! Oh, and I had a successful Vbac, no thanks to the doctors in Florida!

I kept the letter Baptist Medical sent when he got dismissed and taped it to my fridge so I can see it and know he’s not hurting women (at least here) anymore. I thought I was the only one. I never complained , but should have. I cried for 20 minutes in his parking lot before I could drive. Worst experience with a doctor EVER. I bled out onto the floor from a pap. Very aggressive man. Horrible demeanor. Very bad experience. ****Staff was nice and seemed embarrassed at his in unprofessionalism.

@ Hannah Emerson, he did something similar with me a few years ago and I never went back. He was doing tests that were completely unnecessary just for the money, in my opinion. Maybe he only does this with patients who are not there for childbirth. A simple well woman exam doesn't pay enough for him I guess. In any event, something about this guy definitely rubbed me the wrong way.

Terrible experience. I called about a certain BC, they said he can perform that but first he needs to do a woman's wellness. So I go in, have this guy give me a Pap smear, and after that I find out he's not licensed to give me the birth control I called and asked about. (When I called they said he could do it). So THAT was a complete waste of time. I ended up getting lucky and getting an appt at a different facility and they got it in that same day. So a couple weeks later they called me and tell me I need to come in for a colposcopy because they found possible cancer cells! OVER THE PHONE THEY SAY THAT!!!! So I schedule one, attempt to ask how much it is, and they said they won't know until after the procedure. I felt a little iffy about going back there, so had my medical forms transferred to the second facility I went to. I schedule a colposcopy there, I show up and after my new lovely female doctor reviewed the results they sent, she said there was no need for a colposcopy but she could do it anyways if need be. So I asked if there was any possible way she could figure out what it would cost me to have this procedure done. She said "OF COURSE!" Leaves for a second, returns with the answer of "it'll be $283.16." Since it wasn't even necessary I declined the procedure. There's a couple things that come to mind when thinking about this office. Women's wellness procedures are covered by any insurance. So that was free money for him, and freaking me out about cancer to get me in so he could charge not only my insurance but me too, just makes me think he doesn't give a crap about any of his patients and he just wants to get paid. So I would NEVER recommend him as an OB, unless you like spending money on useless procedures. And if you do see him, get a second opinion please. I don't normally write reviews but I'm doing this to save people the trouble and money. And will be reporting him to the medical board for taking advantage of his patients. How gross is that!?!?!

Staff was very kind, Dr. was not at all. Very cold and insensitive. My experience with this doctor caused me to be afraid of seeing other doctors in the future. After my appointments with this doctor I would come home and spend the rest of the day crying. His behavior and manner resulted in experiences that should be routine and comfortable to being ones that were traumatic. I see that there are some that have said he is great, we must have seen two completely different sides of him.

I have been going to Dr. Halperin for many years. He has the knowledge, patience and the understanding needed to make you feel so very comfortable in knowing you are being well taken care of. I am totally baffled by the negativity out there and those involved should be ashamed. He is in the business of keeping us healthy and has done so for a long time. Before you take the word of someone pointing a finger remember they have more pointing at them. He is an AWESOME doctor and I can't wait to se him again.

Halperin is awesome. I have NEVER experienced any of these negative comments that these women have posted. Halperin is knowledgeable, direct, and thorough - this comes from a patient with PCOS, endometriosis, two high risk pregnancies, and TONS of experience with multiple OBGYNs. Halperin has a dry sense of humor but these comments seem extreme - he is always professional and there is always another staff member present in the room. Lynn is amazing and everyone is always friendly and willing to work with my schedule. He's NEVER been late for an appt and even taken me early. Great doctor - you won't regret becoming a patient. For those of you who seem super hormonal and sensitive - would you rather a doctor NOT tell you best and worst case scenarios and make sure you have all the information? Put on your big girl panties people. He's in the business of keeping women healthy and he's great at it.

Dr. Halperin delivered my first 4 years ago. Now I'm pregnant again. They got me in a couple days after my positive test, even with it being early on. His staff is always incredible (miss Lynn is my favorite nurse every of all time) and make you feel like you're visiting family. I love that he bluntly tells you what you need to know and doesn't try to sugar coat things. He is not only always on time, but if I'm early and they are able, they will take me back and do my appt early. I can not imagine someone else delivering my babies. Can't wait to do this again! I've been going to him for years & have never had a bad experience or felt uncomfortable! He is very nice & has done a lot for me as I had a miscarriage & his office did nothing but call & check on me.

Dr Halperin & his staff are amazing. I have never felt more comfortable & at ease with any other dr. He performed my 2nd csection & my recovery time was so much easier than the 1st. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a physician that is willing to go above & beyond for you.
