Martin Maldonado's Online Review Report Card

I drive 2 hrs to see this doctor because Dr Martin Maldonado is the only GI that I trust for 10+ yrs. However, ALWAYS running 2 hrs late so keep this in mind. ALWAYS 2 hours!It's freezing in waiting room also so bring a jacket.

Dr Maldonado has the worst attitude, they bill me for some test I didn’t ask for, not recommend it at all, they ask what they could do to help me so I emailed them but they didn’t even bother to respond back, I’m really surprised for all the 5 stars here

Superb Doctor!!! Excellent patient care from Dr Maldonado and entire staff at office and surgery center! Caring, sense of urgency and extremely knowledgeable!!!!!!

I am really surprised by all of the good reviews. My experience has not been good at all. I called to make an appointment for my son in April. His appointment was on 6/12. At that time I made it known that he leaves for college the 3rd week in August and needed to make sure any follow up appointments were taken care of. An endoscopy was scheduled for 7/10. After the endoscopy I tried to make the follow up appointment but was told the doctor is fully booked. When I expressed my frustration I was told that an office manager would call me back. Three days later after not receiving a call back, I called again and was told “sorry, there are no appointments available before 8/19; there is nothing I can do. We have him on a waiting list and if something becomes available we will call” So here we are, 3 months later with no treatment and only the possibility of getting a call to meet to discuss the results of the endoscopy. It is unacceptable that it’s not standard practice to schedule a follow up appointment after a procedure and to expect that patients wait 6 weeks+ Having them explain to me that specialists are busy is not helpful. I am well aware that getting an initial appointment takes time, but I have never had a specialist expect patients to wait over 3 1/2 months for results/treatment plan.

Dr. Maldonado helped me figure out what was going on with my chronic stomach issues when no other GI doctor could. I highly, HIGHLY recommend him. He’s amazing. Just bring a jacket cause it’s freezing in the waiting room.

If you want a COLD and UNCOMPASSIONATE Doctor....well then Dr. Maldonado is for you!!! I recently had to find another gastroenterologist due to my doctor retired. I was referred to this doctor. I had a colonoscopy and Dr. Maldonado confirmed to me that I NEVER want to see him again! He was so cold and non caring the day of my test. He couldn't even spare 5 to 10 minutes of his precious time come to talk to me after my colonoscopy. I laid there waiting to talk to him...he was too busy to come & talk to me...meanwhile all the OTHER gastroenterologists came & talked to their patients after their procedures on that day! It was by far the WORST experience I have ever had by a doctor and I have had many doctors due to my illness.

If you don’t mind spending half your life waiting to see Dr Maldonado then by all means go ahead and book an appointment. Their appointment process is so unorganized that you could on average spend over an hour waiting to see him. I had an appointment for 3pm today and I arrived at 3pm and was told that he was running 2 hours behind. This is not the first time I have experienced long wait times with his office. I’m totally fed up and will be looking for a new doctor to replace him.

Parking is near impossible. FREEZING reception area. Only one person in line in front of us and took 20 minutes to check in. Jessie the assistant was AWESOME. Everyone was nice. Dr. Maldonado is funny and good bedside manor.

Very kind doctor. He explained very well and even made illustrations of the causes of my medical condition. Gave recommendations of do's and don'ts. He is not in a rush (which is typical of doctors who seem to not want to see their patients). I wished I would have known him sooner.

Excellent doctor, highly recommended.
