I had eye surgery on both eyes, one Is not healing properly and the evening before my appointment to have it checked, I received a voicemail telling me that I had to pay my balance in full before the dr would see me. I called the next morning since the voicemail was left after hours, I was told the same thing by the receptionist and then someone chimed in in the background, how unprofessional to do that so everybody sitting in the waiting room can hear.

Dr. Kaufman and his staff are absolutely wonderful, I had cataract surgery in both eyes and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

It's been more than a year since I had cataract and lasik surgery and I still suffer from double vision. In my last visit / exam, I was told that there was a 'crease' in the back of my eye and that further surgery will be required. Why this was not diagnosed prior to surgery or whether the disfigurement was a result of the surgery has not been disclosed. My personal life and work have suffered and am now contemplating on some form of litigation. I initially went in for cataracts but was convinced that lasik was a better option. This is a decision which I now truly regret.

I can attest to the overbooking and the unnecessary wait time at the Kaufman Eye Institute. It's all about getting your money, and waiting. If you go there your going to spend about 2 hours for what should be a 15 minute visit, EVERY TIME YOU GO, and they will have you coming back for test after test after test, sometimes to do the same test over, (And you will pay the co pay again) and they want you back every month or so and the co payments add up. You go in and wait, wait, wait. Unbelievable!!! Don't go there unless you have a lot of time and a lot of money. I will be looking for more reliable eye care else ware. Also, You are not going to believe the cost of cataract surgery!!! You better have really good insurance! And I thought car salesmen were scammers after my money!

Dr Kaufman and his staff are great! I have the best eyesight I've had in years , and I would recommend him highly to any one I really appreciate the gift of sight Dr Kaufman has provided for me.

Was there from 2:30 until 5:30. Spent most of the time just waiting. Way over booked. When asked a question the Dr. Kaufman just walked out the door. Not answering.Question was asked again to the assistant and she said stop talking and rudely half explained it. My friend is totally disabled. It is totally unacceptable to be kept there that long. The tests didn't take long, but the waiting. I even said that they were rude and that I would be putting a rating on Yelp. Then they got huffy. You should never treat your patients this way. I understand that a lot of people have to go here due to their insurance, but you don't need to treat them this way. I would never recommend this Dr. to anyone. Please go elsewhere, where you are appreciated.

Dr. Stuart Kaufman did cataract surgery on both my eyes and I never had any problems what so ever, no pain at all. He explained the whole procedure. I had no complecations before or after the surgery. I am very thankful to God for Dr Kaufman and would recommend anybody to him for any eye problem.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes. The left eye done, then about 4 weeks later the right. I was given the option of 'medicare' paid lenses, or lenses that cost additionally. I chose the standard lenses The surgery was done at an outpatient facility in Tampa. The staff were friendly and 'spot' on. Dr. Kaufman was SUPERB. The procedure was painless, both times. I couldn't believe the results. The next day, I could see everything with NO effort. The trees and buildings were clear and sharp. No more 'foggy' look. I was so excited. I was a little apprehensive on the 2nd eye, afraid it wouldn't turn out as well. NO FEAR. The same/better results than the first. Key to great results, see Dr. Stuart Kaufman and when the procedure is complete, follow the instructions to the "T" and always follow the medication, dates and times. I am so grateful and thrilled with the results. I can now drive at night as though I was 20 and not close to 70! Kudos to Dr. Stuart Kaufman and a hearty 'Thank you very much"

Treatment has kept glaucoma from progressing. After cataract surgery, no longer require glasses expect for fine print and am very pleased with my vision now. I have confidence that Dr. Kaufman is a skillful practitioner and feel that he makes appropriate decisions on my behalf. I highly recommend him and his colleagues for vision care.
