Dr. Gupta and his staff are always courteous and very professional. I always feel comfortable and safe here.
Dr. Shailesh Gupta is a highly professional, extremely bright surgeon. His years of experience have provided him with extensive experience and expertise. He literally saved my husbands eyesight remediating his torn retina. Recently I had a personal experience with a very positive outcome. I read reviews that complained about wait time, that was not my experience however, I can sincerely say that it is worth the wait to see Dr Gupta.
Very professional. Everyone seemed to care and to know what they were doing. Dr. Gupta explained everything so I could understand what the problem is and how it can be treated.
My grandmother had a 2:30 appointment at the Retina Specialty Center. She waited two hours before her name was called. I asked the receptionist, Shameka, where she was in the queue. She pointed to the sign near the desk—which reads, “please expect to be here 23 hours for your appointment.” My grandmother is diabetic. Her blood sugar was also incredibly low. I was standing in the hallway. The office administrator, Michelle, stood three inches from my face & told me to sit in the lobby. I asked her to give me space. When my grandmother asked Michelle to move, that she’d waited for two hours, she responded her, “that is irrelevant—she needs to sit in the lobby.” Arms crossed, inches away from my face, Michelle pointed at the door to, as she put it, “go.” A nurse ushered me in the room with my grandmother. As the nurse tried to help my grandmother, Michelle came in to tell us she was calling the police. The police. My grandmother is 71. Seventyone, with a birthday the day before. After a twohour wait, an office administrator was threatening to call the police on my grandmother. I told Michelle to leave, as she was making my grandmother upset. She was incredibly unprofessional. Dr. Shaileth Gupta came in. He said we were making too much noise. He said he had other patients. According to Gupta, if we didn’t have a quiet conversation, we’d have to leave. I gathered my grandmother’s belongings, and walked her to her car. Dr. Gupta & (most) of his staff treated us with such disdain and disregard. There were 89 older patients who arrived before us, who were still waiting once we left. There are 16 chairs in this office, and 2025 elderly people at any given time. Upon entry, an older Asian woman with a walker was leaving. None of the staff held a door for her to exit. My grandmother cried in the car. Before departing, I asked what Michelles name was. I was told it was Linda. The next day, I called to retrieve her actual nomenclature. I searched Dr. Guptas office online to locate the number. I found a number of reviews claiming Dr. Gupta has performed several unnecessary procedures on the elderly. Some questioned his credentials. His staff’s demeanor, and their lack of care and concern for the job is disheartening.

Horrible provider. Was very rude with me when I told him I needed to ask my family on the extensive retinal testing he wanted to perform. I went for a second opinion by another provider and was told I didnt need the testing as I didnt show any signs for needing it. The office made me go back 3 times and collected 3 copays for me to pick up my report (which I never received). I told the staff to send me report to my PCP and they have yet to do it. The doctor should not be rude to his patients when they question the need for a procedure. I barely saw him for 2 minutes and had is assistant see me.
Very poorly managed. No thought or effort given to manage office efficiently. Patients spend hours waiting in 1 of 2 waiting rooms for procedures or tests that take less than 5 minutes. This lack of respect for the value of patient’s time infuriates me. Very unprofessional operation. I would avoid at all costs.
Dr Gupta was recommended to me by by Ophthalmologist to confirm mt retinal issues. I would say the appointment was OK but not as professional that I am used to. This was first visit and I will probably look elsewhere. His facilities were temporary at best. A shared space with a physical Therapy participate. Not a 21st Century facility
Dr. Gupta and staff are professional and warm.
He messed up my sight forever ! I call him appropriately Dr. Goofy . ZERO TRUST IN THIS MICKY MOUSE SURGEON
Maybe a bad day Sorry would recommend anyone. Poor service. Had an attitude and totally disrespectful as a doctor. Went for second opinion and happy say i am just fine. Dr. Gupta and his staff advise me i had a tear in one eye and swelling in the other. Of course did not go in to see him for either of these issues. Rand eye institute i recommend.
Wonderful experience, Dr Gupta gave me best advice for my vision as well as eye glasses. The staff is very professional and friendly. Highly recommended.
I found Dr. Gupta to be one of the most tolerant of doctors. I had several questions and he answered them all. He gave me his full attention and did not leave until every question I had was answered.
Good humor, pleasant, on time, and didnt rush. Good suggestions.
Wonderful!!!!!!Great Doctor, great staff!!!!!
I really liked it..very close to my house but the waiting was over an hour
This doctors practice is absolutely awful. I dont know where to start... 1. Wait time is over 100 minutes in Boca Raton office people get up and leave without ever being able to see the doctor. 2. The room is small, packed with elderly people like cattle 3. Greed displayed by patient overbooking and patient frustration can be felt within five minutes of walking into his office. 4. The doctor has a holier than you attitude where asking questions is seen as wasting his time.
Hes awesome. Calm, attentive, listens, patiently and thoroughly answers questions.
Great doctor, My visit went better then i thought it would go. Im glad i have Dr Gupta as my Doctor and the staff where Incredible. All my Questions Were Answerd
