I was satisfied. Everything was fast and I didn’t ask to have a urine test because it was always a part of a gyn exam. But he sent an order for one to another location so I can address that quickly.
Wonderful and gentle doctor
First appointment after moving from NJ. Doctor & staff seemed very nice and respectful! Did not wait long before being seen either.
As always, cheerful wonderful care!
Quick visit but he seemed to know his stuff! Followed up visit with tests and quickly responded with the results.
Friendly staff got me in and out quickly and professionally.
It’s really hard to rate this doctor since I literally was only with him for barely 10 min. He was pleasant, but when I asked him about my eczema, he told me that’s not a gynecological concern. Really? You’re a doctor, right? No thank you, I’ll find another dr.
Was a quick, efficient staff and even though I was a new patient. I was in and out in 22 minutes and didn’t feel rushed and had all my questions answered. Excellent doctor and staff!
My Thank You Note to Dr. Hidlebaugh: Thank you for your proactive involvement in my care. I have been a patient of yours for well over a decade. I was in to see you on July 8, 2019, for my bi-annual gynecological check-up/pap. You gave me a script for a bi-annual mammogram, which I had on July 19. The results were positive for calcifications. A biopsy was recommended and my PCP called me and told me to get the biopsy done ASAP. However, your office called five minutes later and told me NO - GET A SECOND OPINION FROM DR. ___. I met with her on Monday, August 19, the earliest available time they could fit me in. I would not have known to contact her. She and her team were incredible. She arranged for a stereotactic biopsy to be done by an experienced radiologist and breast cancer was confirmed on Sept. 6. I had a bilateral mastectomy on Sept. 30. You saved my life. I am beyond grateful.Additional note about Dr. Hidlebaugh's communication style. As noted by some other reviewers, yes, he is very reserved and not talkative but he has always answered any questions I have and offered his assessment and guidance on my health. I want my doctor to be skilled and proactive when needed, and he most definitely delivered on that score. I'm not looking for my doctor to be my "Bestie." I had that with a prior Gyn-Ob and he misdiagnosed uterine cancer for two years, dismissing my pain and heavy bleeding.
Quick check-in using portal and at the service desk. Very spacious office and facility is expanded. Doctor and staff are courteous and good at explaining on any questions asked.
I have worked with Dr. H since 2001. He is extremely professional and experienced in his field. Rather soft spoken and quiet man. Next week I have surgery, then I will have more!
absolute worst Doctor i have ever dealt with. doesn't care about you or your concerns. and once hes done with you even while your still recovering and have post op problems and he no longer wants to deal with you . HE will just dismiss you as a patient. i would rather go to a Dr. in another country than deal with him again.
The worst Doctor I ever had. He set me up for a digital mammography. Radiologist found a suspicious part, suggested Biopsie. Biopsie was benign according to Dr. Hidlebaugh’s office. 17 days later I received a phone call Biopsie was cancerous. Could not reach Doctor, Radiologist said since I was patient of Dr. H. he should have informed me. When finally contacting Doctor H. he suggested immediate surgery. Contacted Administration office, their question was : Are you going to sue ? Had surgery for cancer finally without help from Dr. Hidlebaugh. Dangerous, incompetent Physician, beware!
I have been a patient of Dr. H for 4 yrs and consider him to be knowledgeable, very meticulous of his practice as a doctor. He is very shied which can give the impression of not caring or enthusiasm.
Ive been seen by the doctor many times. I do not recommend him if you are younger than 45 because his specialty is limited. I was misdiagnosed after a routine examination (without going through additional lab tests and/or certain procedures). In fact, I did a better job on my own listening to my bodys symptoms and investigating it further. If you are younger and will be trying to conceive in the future, find a specialty doctor to tend to your needs. His personality, however, is nice.
No go.
Rushed me in for surgery to correct difficultly in bowel movements. He tried to convince me to take a test for breast cancer that would cost thousands. Ended up with hysterectomy, removal of ovaries, a repair to my bladder (when I had no issue urinating) and has left me incontinent.
He was really punctual and just really caring. I had some problems recently and he was really reassuring and it really seemed obvious that he cared about me. I will definitely be letting my friends know about him because some other female GYNs Ive been to around Naples have just seemed like they were above me and didnt care. Dr. Hidlebaugh is GREAT! Ive been going to him for 3 years now.
Great Md. Professional staff. No Phone tree. Gets you in in a timely manner. Dr. Spends time with you.
I went the Doctor Hildebaugh two and a half months after a miscarriage. Id been 14 weeks along. Id been in the ER four times at that point and I could tell that the ER doctor thought very highly of him. He had consulted with the ER doctor and diagnosed me with disfunctional uterine bleeding, but in the five days between my ER visit and appointment Id hemorrhaged cups of blood at time and was weak and seriously frightened by the time of my appointment.I wrote out everything that had happened with dates and told the nurse that that very morning Id been passing clots of stringy purple stuff that looked very much like placenta.Doctor Hildebaugh came in the room and said I stand by my earlier diagnosis. He put me on birth control pills to stop the bleeding. When I asked him what I should do if I hemorrhaged again he said you wont. When I asked him if the intense back pain and nausea I was feeling were part of dysfunctional uterine bleeding he said No... maybe its psychological... and then suggested it could be contractions.Thankfully one of my friends got me in to see her doctor a week later. And I did hemorrhage again, despite the birth control pills, before that appointment. The new doctor was in the room for all of five minutes when, via ultrasound she discovered that my uterus was still full of debris from my pregnancy. She also noted that the level of estrogen Id been given wouldnt have been enough to stop the bleeding even if their hadnt been tissue present. I had a D&C yesterday and after three months of bleeding, have finally stopped. Ive also been dosed with giant amounts of antibiotics since all of that stuff was in me for so long.I feel like Dr. Hildebaugh couldnt admit that he possibly could have been wrong during a phone consult, and he put my life in danger as a result. I was very sick, for weeks longer than I needed to be, because he doesnt listen to women when they talk to him. I would run, not walk to another physician if you have a problem and youre thinking about going to Doctor Hildebaugh.
