List of Melissa Baer's Reviews
Dr. Baer is kind and caring and very intelligent.
The only doctor I want to see for future children!
Last year I was a new patient, got in 4 months after I called. Not bad for a new patient specialty service. I called today to reschedule my follow up (which is still 7 weeks away) and was told they can fit me in...in 14 months! When asked if it was possible to see another provider, I was told if I did that, I could not come back to her as a patient. As a cervical dysplasia and breast cancer patient, I can't wait 14 months. My medication side effects require evaluation for harmful side effects. Even without those medical problems, no one should have to wait 14 months for a follow up. I'll be looking for another doctor to transfer my care.
Me and my 2 daughters will not see anyone else. We love Dr Baer
While Dr. Cherfan was out, Dr. Baer prescribed me a medicine to help with an itchy rash that I had developed. I am almost 37 weeks pregnant and asked the pharmacist if the medication was okay to take during pregnancy. I was told that the medicine should not be taken in the first, second trimester and two weeks prior to labor. Was told that the medicine taken prior to labor could give newborns seizures. I am set to be induced at 39 weeks. I called the office back and asked for a safer alternative like a cream instead. Would rather be safe than sorry. Her response to my request was to either suffer to take the medicine. Additional side effects of the medicine is drowsiness. Was instructed to take the medication 3 times a day. For someone who is still working full time and has a young one at home being drowsy all day is not feasible. Really hope she takes the concerns of her actual patients more seriously and professionally. Very disappointed and disheartened at her response to prescribe a cream instead of an oral pill. Would have given her a zero star rating if it was possible.
Maybe it was not diagnosing my gestational diabetes, or refusing to admit I was leaking amniotic fluid at 28 weeks, or even the "be ready to miscarry" at every prenatal visit. Dr. Baer does NOT care about her patients, only the money. She's unprofessional, has no bedside manner, and is flat out rude. I could have lost my baby because of her negligence.
terrible doctor. Would never trust her especially if you are expecting a child, do not have her be your OB
Dont hesistate to visit dr baer. she cares and is a wonderful doctor.
2 going on 3 babies with Dr Baer. Excellent care even with some health issues I have.
Only OB i'll see in the area. 2 healthy babies and excellent care during both my pregnancies.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
