He seems to be a fine anesthesiologist, the surgery went off without a hitch. However, prior to the surgery he came into the room and advised he wasn't in my insurance network (my surgeon was), although he would "probably" accept the benefit coverage my insurance provided. That is not re-assuring pre-operatively. He then went on an anti-ACA ("Obamacare") rant. This was in 2015. I hope he has changed his thoughts but it's a good thing he's in a role that is minimally patient facing, because the guy is not particularly subtle and frankly politics is the last thing I want to discuss on my day of surgery.
