I traveled 45 minutes out of my way to Doctor Burns location on the advice from a trusted family doctor. This was a good call. Doctor Burns gave me my shoulder back.I had three diagnosis from two surgeons, many examinations, several x-rays, six months of physical therapy, steroid shots, and one MRI, and still no answers. I was too young to accept that my right arm was going to be out of commission and that I would be on pain meds for the rest of my life.I brought all of my records to Doctor Burns and asked for help. He agreed to go in and have a look. It turns out I had four different problems that were conspiring to take my shoulder away. He fixed them all; I was hanging sheetrock three months later.Obviously he could not promise these results ahead of time and has since explained that not everybody recovers as well as I did. He was not at all happy that I was hanging sheetrock three months out, but the fact is, I could.Thanks Doc.

Dr. Joseph Burns is a Superstar in my book. First rate, 5 Star Orthopedic Professional I am an avid mountain biker, who has had 3 previous surgeries on my right shoulder. It had been obliterated from crashes. Before Dr. Burns, the last surgeon told me, to find a new sport, or the next time would most likely result in shoulder replacement. Well, it happened again, another crash. After extensive research, I chose Dr. Burns, over many others, to do what I was told couldn’t be done. The moment I met with him, I knew I had made the right choice. I had never been more comfortable and confidant in a surgeon. Given the skills of Dr. Burns along with the generous donation of a cadaver’s tissue, “thank you whoever you were”, my shoulder is back in use, and I am riding as good, as ever I was. I most highly recommend Dr. Burns Thank you, Dr. Burns, you are an incredible individual, and an outstanding surgeon. So very sorry you are no longer here in So. Cal. J. Olson Palmdale, CA.

Dr. Burns is thre BEST surgeon in all of SCOI. Both my husband and myself had Dr. Burns do our surgeries Ann's we will miss him more then you can ever know.

I requested a second review on my shoulder injury and research it and requested to see Dr Burns. During that time I had a knee injury also. Excited to see that Dr Burns specialized in knee injuries too. He ended up doing both surgeries. Knee was repair of meniscus and removal of completely torn meniscus on the outside of the knee . Later was complete left shoulder replacement. Both went extremely well.

Dr Burns , Gave me complete confidence I was in extremely painful place with my shoulder and was very much satisfied with my experience from my initial appointment and everything that led up to my shoulder replacement Surgery I would highly recommend a consult he knows what he's doing .My recovery is going well and the office is in touch with me everyday looking forward to a wonderful pain free shoulder again .

There are no words to describe just how great Dr Burns & his staff are. My brothers, sister & I have had to have more knees & shoulders repaired than the typical family due to sports injuries. He's been our go-to for many years & has also had to fix what other University orthopedic staff have done, to be honest, not a very good job on. When your mom wants to go with her gut & bring you home to have Dr Burns do you surgery, you may want to listen!!
