Polkadot Pediatric Dentistry's Online Review Report Card

We’ve been coming to this office for about 5 years, and today’s visit felt very different from our usual experience. Our daughter, who has braces, was recommended a special cleaning with about a $100 out-of-pocket cost after insurance. When we asked for a clearer explanation of what the procedure involves and how it’s different from a regular cleaning, the interaction felt tense and not very helpful. Our questions were met with repeated responses rather than a clear explanation or demonstration, which made it hard for us to feel comfortable. We understand that treatments can vary and we’re open to recommendations. We just want to feel informed and respected when asking questions about our child’s care. Overall, the experience felt unpleasant, which was disappointing given our overall positive history with the office. We hope communication can be more patient and transparent moving forward.

Today was our first day at our new dentist office for my son Parker (5). We recently moved, and P was a tad nervous for the change… but not only was the office itself SO cool and inviting, the staff? Dr. Nanna and the oral hygienist, Diary, were above and beyond for my son… they paid attention, answered my millions of questions regarding his teeth and development, just because of my own dentist background, and they Just kind in general!! They took their time, made my son comfortable and made sure that he was comfortable and OK throughout the entire Appointment, and definitely insured his well-being in general and I genuinely appreciate you guys and all that you do! I will recommend this place 10 times out of 10 for sure!!

My experience was completely undermined by the front desk staff handling insurance processing. This is exactly the kind of place that takes advantage of patients if you don’t ask questions in precisely the “right” way—because if you miss a word or phrase something imperfectly, they’ll use that as an excuse to avoid any obligation to give you a straight or honest answer. It feels calculated, not accidental. Even more troubling, the front desk appears to be making decisions that should be left to the doctors. They act as gatekeepers—controlling information and steering outcomes—rather than simply supporting patient care. They will also conveniently misguide you, offering half-truth answers that seem just helpful enough while ultimately ensuring they secure your business. You’re not being fully informed—you’re being managed. There was zero effort made to obtain or review my prior medical records, seemingly because the front desk had already decided what the doctor was going to ask or order. Instead of doing the responsible thing and gathering existing information, they defaulted to ordering a new X-ray—which conveniently generates more revenue. Retrieving prior records is treated as “overhead” they won’t bother with. Overall, this office comes across as opportunistic, dismissive, and far more focused on maximizing billing than on providing honest, patient-centered care. Update After owners reply: 1. I never questioned, why doctors ordered new one, but about the calls the front desk makes about it. 2. If you did get it, then your front desk told me they don't have it. 3. If you are the owner of the business, read all the negative reviews, they only talk about incompetence of your front desk. Neither did I nor anyone else talk about your medical professionals. 4. Your response is in violation of 45 CFR § 164.502 and you are reported to both HHS and DHS.

Staff was amazing and so friendly

Went off a whim and tried a good search for a dentist for my son. So glad I did. Polka dot dentistry was so warm. When we got there, they had a sign with my kiddos name on it to welcome him for his first visit. The hygienist was extremely patient and reassuring. Dr. Nanna also knows her stuff so that's always appreciated!

Best dentist and awesome staff in the area. My kids love this place, very welcoming facility! 💯 recommended!!
