List of Richard B. Robbins, Md's Reviews
I know this review is long overdue, but I felt it needed to be said. I went to this OB/GYN office for many years—probably from age 15 to 27. Throughout that time, I dealt with consistent anemia, painful and heavy periods, and other ongoing symptoms. Instead of anyone taking a deeper look into what was actually going on, I was repeatedly prescribed the latest birth control as a quick fix. Now, 20 years later, I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis. I’m angry—because it should never have taken two decades to get answers. I remember coming into this office visibly unwell, even emaciated at times (from the pain and heavy periods), and not once did a doctor suggest a laparoscopic procedure to investigate further. Could this delay have impacted my fertility? Maybe. And that’s heartbreaking. So all I can say now is do better.
This was our first OB appointment since my wife became pregnant. We told the office we preferred a woman doctor, but they pressured us to see Robbins, saying we were already behind schedule at 8 weeks, and assured us that Robbins was great, and we could see a woman for the 2nd appointment. Throughout the 20 minute appointment, he made it clear that he would rather listen to his own voice tell personal and irrelevant stories than learn about his patients. He didn't answer questions, nor did he ask us anything or write anything down. But worst of all, he told a personal story during the performance of a pap smear, putting instruments inside my wife repeatedly with no warning while she was clearly tense and in pain, and then came back to put his fingers inside her with no explanation. I was stunned and horrified at his behavior. We will not be revisiting Roswell OBGYN specifically because we will take no chances at being treated by Richard Robbins ever again. Warn your friends.

I've been going to Dr Robbins since 1989. He's hands down the very best. I have had multiple issues over the years, all which he helped with compassion. He has a great personality and a wonderful way of putting you at ease. He's the only one I will see.
Absolute worst experience of my life. I was dealing with the physical and emotional toll of an ectopic pregnancy and he had the audacity to jokingly ask if he should call me ‘metho’ or ‘methotrexate’ as soon as he walked in the door. He made light of a very serious situation and there’s no excuse. I’m disgusted with his bedside manner and I highly suggest anyone considering him as a provider to do yourself a favor and choose someone else.
Dr. Robbins is the best. I have been seeing him for almost 29 years. So very thankful for him. He delivered all 5 of my children!
Dr Robbins has been my GYN since 20 years. He is the most caring Dr i have ever met, he has fantastic bedside manners, and is great at replying to messages on the portal. He has even called me at times when i was going through a GYN issue that was not responding to treatment to see where it could come from and what we can do. He is very gentle with his exam also. I would recommend him anytime.
This Dr. SAVED MY LIFE!!!!! Other 'OBGYNs' looked at me and my diseased uterus/reproductive system and I know without a shadow of a doubt, that I would have hemmoraged to death by now! Dr. Robbins thanks for saving my life!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
