Athens Orthopedic Clinic has the friendliest staff and the best doctors. They never rush you through your appointments, always listen to all of your concerns and genuinely seem to care about their patients.I live in the Atlanta area and I drive to Athens for this practice because of the way they handle their patients.I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for orthopedic care!

I had recently visited over 6 Drs in approx 3 years regarding my ankle. I was finally approved by instance to got to AOC. I at first was seen by another dr/specialist in ankles and he admitted he wanted Dr Johnson’s opinion on my ankle. I immediately like Dr Joseph Johnson! I felt comfortable with his vision for the future of my ankle needs. I did research and asked many in the Field about him and all were good. I’ve even sent him several others after me who have truly needed at good ankle specialist. So far i have had complete success with my surgery outcome and look forward to many years working with Dr Johnson and staff regarding my ortho health.

Was great until the next day when I called 3 times in 4 hours trying to get ahold of a nurse or doctor about my severe pain I am having and trying to get an alternative medication call in to the pharmacy. I know doctors offices can be busy, but at the same time I feel like they have zero since of urgency when it come to this matter. Would have been 5 stars but after the total lack of care and concern from calling in to the Urgent car department, it’s negative 5 stars.

Dr. Johnson (no relation) did a great job of rebuilding my broken ankle. Three months post surgery, I have swelling but no pain. I am walking on a treadmill and most days forget to limp...Thanks Doc!
