Received an unusable vision prescription from Dr Sams, received an wildly different one from Dr Penland with the guidance that "we will give this a try". $160 in for unusable glasses and not confident enough to continue throwing money down this hole, so tried to work with the practice for a solution. Received NO call backs.

Insisted on cataract surgery with very limited information. I was asking questions as he was backing out the door. I was never informed of the rating of my cataracts. Will def find soneone else

I find Dr. Sams to be cold and detached. He performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. Never told me that if you have dry eye syndrome the surgery may make it worse. It's been two years since my surgery. Since then I've been living with pressure on my eye lids, blurred vision, and constant dry eyes. After my surgery I called Dr. Sams for help. I was told it was not an emergency. Not long after that He discharged me from his practice. He gave me the on call phone number if I needed help. I strongly recommend you see another Dr., one who treats you as a human being and not as an object.

I can't say enough about Dr. Sams and his office's caring staff. They went above and beyond to help us in a very difficult time. It's nice to have a group like this to count on!

Dr. Sams performed cataract surgery on me May 2017 and it could not have gone smoother. His staff was most cordial and proficient and all my appointments have been on time. Very little discomfort and vision is much improved. Way To Go Dr. Sams! Signed. A Southern Boy To God be the Glory.

Spouse came with me and acted as if not even in room never spoke. Very rude in my opinion. First time my eyes were dilated was never told that I needed driver nor that I needed shades to go outside or what to expect.Couldn't see till next day. Thankfully had some in car and had someone with me. Handed copy of prescription and guided toward check out. Never had glasses, thought they would have at least said you can do them here or somewhere else.
