Terrible Doctor He made my mother who has leukemia cry today, he was so rude and dismissive and basically told us we can go elsewhere. I’m so disgusted, saddened and pissed!!!!!!!!!

This man treated my mother who was sick with multiple myeloma. He convinced my parents to do a stem cell transplant, lying to persuade them, that the failure rate was 3% instead of almost 50%. When my mom developed cardiac issues after the transplant, his staff told her it had nothing to do with them. She should follow up with her cardiologist even though this was a well-documented side effect. When things started going downhill instead of being upfront, he stopped showing up at appointments and stopped providing feedback. Finally in January 2019, my brother, my parents and I met with him at Emory clinic and he callously told us she had less than 6 months. His exact words about his Hippocratic oath was “ we don’t have to help, we just have to do no harm” His arrogance makes him unable to collaborate with far more experienced and knowledgeable colleagues. My thoughts about him as your oncologist is this- if you want to die, go to him!

Dr. Nooka orchestrated a successful stem cell transplant 2 years ago for me. I just got my follow up tests completed and we are so excited to see all the numbers of abnormal cells declining. Remaing a cancer survivor is my goal and Dr. Nooka has been the reason I remain healthy. Dr Nooka was extremy diligent explaining the cancer and treatment to us. His patience was admirable as he took on our questions and concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Nooka ro anyone with multiple myeloma. Be patient with the hugeness of Emory, in the end as you muddle thru things the result will be the best it can be!
