List of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates Midtown The Liver Center's Reviews
Front desk staff is so arrogant!!!
Let me start out by saying my Doctor was GREAT. But like most other reviews the billing is ridiculous. I was charged twice for the same apt. and no one will straighten this out. After 10 phone calls explaining that I paid twice for the same apt. with no results. I wrote to the Ga. Department of Law, Consumer Protection Division and they sent Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates a letter asking for an explanation and there was no response to this either. They are a part of United Digestive and I wrote to the CEO asking for help but also got no response to that email either. It looks like they don't care about reviews either, they have almost nothing but bad reviews and its a shame because my Doctor is excellent.
No patient should ever be treated the way I was! Dr. Quinn was the only good experience!!! I had a colonoscopy on 8/9/21. At first, all went well. My caregiver was allowed to go in back with me prior to the procedure to help me undress but once she was asked to leave and I got in recovery, things changed. Despite asking for her to be allowed to come and assist (I had an accident) with cleaning myself, the nurse only got my clothes from her instead of allowing her to come to the back to assist me. I told her that I get dizzy and needed assistance and all she gave me were wipes to clean myself. I didn't do very good and I asked for my caretaker to be allowed up. I was ignored. She checked my blood pressure 3x and told me to go sit in a wheelchair to await transport. Needless to say, I went home with feces on me in the back and in my pubic area which was not only embarrassing but was insensitive on the nurse's part. I could've gotten an infection! Having a colonoscopy is already a very sensitive matter, especially for a large sized person, and to be treated like that was awful. The #1 rule of patients bill of rights is to be treated with respect and the nurse failed horribly in honoring this. No patient should EVER be released like that. I will NEVER refer anyone to ATL gastro because patient care should be excellent not just when family and caretakers are present but when we are alone with them. This made me feel abused and not cared for. I will NEVER refer anyone to them!
Dr. Delmazzo was a fine doctor, but beware of the billings department. THEY ARE SCAMMERS - I paid all the bills sent to me, but they sent me to collections because THEY forgot to include my unit number and the mail never reached me. Did they call me? No. Did they let me know I had an outstanding copay on my last visit? NO! Instead, they sent me to collections over a $50 outstanding copay. With no mention of the other THOUSANDS of dollars I had paid to them over the years. BEYOND FRUSTRATING.I give the experience 2 stars because I did like Dr. Delmazzo as a doctor. I just hate that he works with such shady business partners.
Absolutely the WORST medical experience I have ever encountered. The follow-up and aftercare from this company is ridiculous. 8 Days after the procedure, I still haven't been able to speak to my doctor about the results even after multiple attempts to reach her. Support staff is just as bad with zero concern shown or attempt to help. Protect yourself and your health... look into other companies.
Don't TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE AT THIS PLACE!! This so-called doctor (Asiya Shakir) is so horrible and unprofessional. She rescheduled the 1st appointment and the 2nd appointment she was 25 minutes late for a virtual televisit... She had the audacity to “NOT” apologize and she was in her bed with the lights off... I CAN NOT MAKE THIS UP‼️‼️ Do yourself a favor and find another gastro doctor to take care of your child.
I had an MRI for a possible issue with my pancreas. After two weeks of waiting for my results, I can't get anyone from this practice to call me with my results. I have to beg for my information. The same thing happened to my at this practice when they tested my gallbladder which was eventually removed. I don't understand the total lack of communication or care.
After a procedure done at Atlanta Gastro (Athens Campus) on 12/8/21, we established on 2/15/21 that I was due a refund of $378. We established this on a recorded phone call with my insurance company and the AG billing office. What has occurred since that date is nothing short of criminal.I have yet to receive a check. Here are the steps I have gone through:In March I called and was told the check was on the way.In April I called and was told that I was never due a refund -- they had no record of it on my account. I called back repeatedly to speak to different agents to get to the bottom of this issue. On May 12 they told me they would call back with more information. They never called back.On May 17 I called again and through ME asking just the right question, we found out there was another section to my account. Same account number, just a different section -- that is where the refund was recorded.STILL. I had to call back two more times before I was told the date the refund was processed and the date I should expect the check by (AT THE LATEST), which was June 4. I still have not received a check. Also, on each of these calls I left a voicemail with the manager (Michelle), asking for a call back. I have not received a call back to date. This morning I filed fraud with the insurance commissioner.
I have been a patient for a couple year now, but I can't recommend going to this office. The past year I have had multiple situations related to prescriptions. I contacted the office to get the situation corrected only to have nobody in the office return my calls.I was fine with my doctor, but everything else about the office is so poorly run that I'm having a hard time justifying staying based solely on the times that I actually talk to the doctor.I had to give them the same I insurance information 5 times in the last 3 months. This included when I arrived for my colonoscopy, and they told me they did have it even though they call me 3 days before the procedure stating they didn't have it, and then again 3 hours before the procedure. Just to be clear, those were the 4th and 5th time I provided the information.I have had two different insurance companies while using AGA and the pharmacies that both companies used contacted after being ignored for days in trying to get the refill approved. If it was just one that said they had issues, I would dismiss the pharmacy statement, it two completely different pharmacies have told me the same thing over the past year. The is either a high level of apathy or incompetence that seems to flow through their office. I've had this issue in dealing with multiple people in the last year.If you lo ed being ignored when you have serious medical issues, this is the place for you. Otherwise, I'd look for better service in another office.
You feel like your cattle in their office: how many people can they shuttle through in the least amount of time. It is super expensive: $500 for initial visit to schedule a colonoscopy. Did not like the whole process whatsoever. Too many other practices to deal with Dr Singh and this group. Northside locale.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
