List of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates Northside's Reviews
RUN! I have been in severe abdominal pain with diarrhea for MONTHS ! After tests etc were run, they have booked another appointment in 5 weeks ! No help ! We have spoken to many at this practice and they refuse to I do anything until then ! It’s apparent they don’t care about the lives of their patients ! I will be going to the ER! Thanks for NOTHING!
One of the worst medical experiences I have ever encountered. After calls and messages sent through their patient portal, I haven't been able to speak to the Doctor who performed the 2 procedures about the results and have been left on my own to Google search the results listed on the print out. I was referred to a specialist about a condition she "thinks" I have as she remembered me discussing it with her which is incorrect as I never had the condition nor been treated for it previously. Her medical assistant also wouldn't return my call and the nursing staff I was transferred to was unprofessional and rude. The discharge from the facility after the procedure was traumatic and confusing. Based on my experience, protect yourself and your health... look into other medical services. I will never use AGA for any other procedures in the future as I question if I actually received adequate medical care. 😠
Nurse as a patient review:The wait time is horrible, I waited an hour over my appointment time to be seen for less than 10 minutes.DO NOT GO HERE!!! It’s terrible, I had a STAT (meaning urgent and timely results needed) CT scan on FRIDAY and here I am TUESDAY with no call back to let me know what the results are. I’ve called twice,Monday they said results were being reviewed and someone would call me back. No one called me back, today i left a voicemail explaining i am still in pain and nausea and want to know the results of the CT and still no call back. This is absolutely ridiculous and horrible patient care! Even if there is nothing wrong with me GI wise, they have a responsibility to call me back in a TIMELY manner with STAT ct results to discuss. This is delaying care that I might need.Believe all of the bad reviews you read about this place! Stay far away
I went to see the Gastrologist in Woodstock dr.Nicole I really like her she is helpful I was having stomach and I may have endometriosis and diverticulitis so since I was having stomach pain for 3 or 4 days she ordered a ct scan pelvic and abdomen with contrast , I got my ct scan report back I have a small amount of fluid in my shunt things like this makes me nervous, My blood work came back and I have an abnormal thyroid
Judging from several interactions I've had with this person (I will not address her as a Dr.) it has become clear to me that she does not care for the well-being of the patient and is in the medical field for the money and prestige. I am the owner of a tax software company. I am a well-educated businessman with a family that I love dearly. I make a point to treat all human beings with the same respect that I would like in return no matter their social status. Most of my colleagues are in banking, and I rub elbows with people who are very wealthy. I'm sharing this information about myself because I think it's important to know the mindset of the individuals writing these reviews to provide others that are of a similar likeness a clear path of judgement to avoid making the same mistake. This person walked into the room in her designer dress, Louis Vuitton boots with matching accessories, sat down without saying hello, pulled out her laptop and asked, "How can I help you?" This was not our first meeting. In fact, I was there because she canceled my scheduled procedure because I had "too many questions" (as she put it) and insisted that I come in to see her in person to get my questions and concerns "out of the way". I was experiencing unexplained constipation issues that were progressing. I simply asked what her anesthetic procedures for a person who were naturally has a slower heartbeat. It is Ngozi Okoro's obligation to answer a patient's questions and to make sure there is a clear understanding of all things prior to administering any recommendations or performing procedures, according to: PATIENT BILL OF RIGHTS: Patient Rights - Consent & Refusal. "THE RIGHT TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS REGARDING YOUR CARE. Inherent in this right is the right to consent to treatment, the right to refuse treatment and the right to be informed about what will be occurring during the hospitalization". Ngozi Okoro does the exact opposite of the above. When she sat down, she looked me up and down with a look of disapproval. I guess I was not wearing the latest designer brands. I asked her questions and expressed concerns about my condition and her responses provided no insight, she showed no empathy, and when I expressed to her how her demeanor made me feel she stated, "You are always welcome to research another person". It took 3 months just to get the in-person appointment with her. Imagine having to research the background of another physician and then get scheduled with someone new. All the while, my symptoms will have progressed further. What is scary is her attitude could possibly lead to someone developing colon cancer where it could have been prevented if her heart and attitude were in the right place. I asked her why she asked me to come in to see her just to ask questions that could have been answered on the phone, and she stated that she is unable to bill my insurance for a 5-minute conversation. Wow! I understand business. But to have the audacity to say that to a patient is outrageous. DO NOT use this person's services if you are looking for curative treatment. If you are looking for someone that is insensitive and like a shady mechanic who might break something else to get you to come back and spend more money... Ngozi Okoro is your greasy oily mechanic masquerading as a doctor.
AGA owes me a refund from March 2020. Their billing department has given me the run-around since then. I can never get into direct contact with a supervisor--only their voicemail--and the refund department, I'm told, isn't at all reachable. This situation is beyond absurd and the company lacks serious credibility as seen from similar complaints to mine on Google and the BBB.
I was told at Emory at Johns Creek that I would be getting a call today from the PA about my results. Here it is 4:10 and I’ve heard nothing. Not been very happy with the doctor at all. Lack of communication!! When you call you don’t get to talk to anyone.
I can't say enough about Dr. Wehbi and am absolutely heartbroken that he passed away. I wanted to write a letter to the whole team who took care of me last year during an uncertain time when it was unknown whether or not I had cancer. Dr. Wehbi was lightning fast in getting me in, his recommendations to start scans and testing without any delay due to my younger age and also having 4 young children at home. He wanted to take no chances. On a total "gut" feeling, he convinced my surgeon to take out what appeared to all to be a healthy appendix. But, he was 100% correct - his gut feeling led to a rare diagnosis of chronic appendicitis, and that "healthy" looking appendix was actually quite the opposite. His tenacity and actual listening saved me from even more pain and a possible acute emergency. Dr. Wehbi's loss leaves an enormous gap.
The service here is horrible, tried calling to schedule a procedure can't get any one on the phone to do so. No one returns your phone calls or messages very poor service.
I was very upset about the fact that I wasn’t even able to get checked or had some blood work done because as soon as I said I had Covid in the past, automatically it’s like I said I had aids. I was very upset. The doctor didn’t want to touch me or even get near me, but if they didn’t want to treat me because of that I highly feel they should tell you and not waste your time. I feel very upset. I only got medication that was placed on the small exam bed because the doctor wouldn’t get near me. She seems like she has no respect or education. She also said she didn’t know when my period was going to return and saying I was going to be sick for months. I just wasted my time and I don’t recommend this place. I will find a new doctor who will help me find a solution. Thank you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
