List of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates Peachtree Dunwoody's Reviews
Terrible wait times, no organization, terrible management, doctor was not attentive or polite. At least the staff were nice though. Believe all the other reviews and go somewhere else if you can.
Horrible. Do not go to Atlanta Gastro. The initial visit was fine with Dr. Gupta, however, I had to inquire 9 times just to get the results of tests he ordered, and feedback on the tests. No follow-up email from them, no follow-up on their website when I inquired, no return phone calls. They would not reply to any of my inquiries during the first eight tries. Something is truly wrong with this practice. I have no faith the results are correct, based on still having the problem. They sent information to the wrong insurance company and have sent me two bills, without submitting the bill to my insurance company, which is clearly marked on my insurance card.
Dr Eisenband is excellent. I have been a patient for 20 plus years. Always takes time to explain everything and give you post procedure instructions. Great Doctor!
I wish I could give worse review than 1 review. Sometimes in June in 2018, I underwent endoscopy performed by them. I just wanted to find out I was gluten sensitive due to strange symptoms like vertigo. However, I did not have specific GI problem. Exactly 6 days after the procedure, my stomach started to bloat like I had never experienced and that became chronic diarrhea. I talked to the doctor about it. All he said was I have IBS. The facility when I did the procedure was filthy. They gave me smelly cape and sheets. It smelt like someone died. I asked nurse to replace them and she said it smelled bad as well. Even after I received new set, the smell remained on my body. Cleaning crews were singing, talking, dancing while we went through this. They were very unprofessional. My time of procedure was 12pm and the actual procedure started close to 5pm. The anesthetist was the worst. She told me I tried to pull out the scope with my hand so she had to give me more dosage. I talked to my other doctor. They often don't want to wait enough time to proceed and that is why this type of things happen. She made fun of my disabled arm and embarrassed me. She first made honest mistake by saying how small my wrist was and so I mentioned that the arm is disabled. Then she laughed and told everyone in around her how "politically incorrect of her". I did not find it funny at all. I wanted just simple oh I am sorry. Instead she announced that I am disabled to everyone for her to crack joke. I felt being used. 3 years later, my diarrhea is not resolved and I am diagnosed with SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth). Endoscopy procedure reach there, small intestine. I am pretty certain that they gave me something from their nasty smelly cape. I want my life back. My quality of life went down tremendously. I went a different doctor and took antibiotics, sibo diet, series of ibs meds, colonoscopy, pre-biotics, pro-biotics, you name it. Nothing has cured my diarrhea. I suffer from serious iron deficiencies no energy. How much I wish I never went there and my life has been so different. Please stay away from this place as far as possible for your own sake.
AVOID ATLANTA GASTRO. Even with good insurance, they charge you obsurd amounts just for a basic appointment. Then they suggest an endoscopy for even the slightest issue, and offer no real solution besides taking more acid blockers. It's a shame they've basically cornered the gastroenterologist market, but there are better options out there.
Avoid this center at all costs, their scheduling is an absolute nightmare. My husband has to get infusions on a six week schedule. One might think you could schedule at least 2-3 infusions at a time. It isn't hard, I do that regularly at ANY OTHER DOCTOR'S OFFICE. This practice seems to have no clue as to how to manage that. And it wouldn't matter anyway because they reschedule constantly due to their almost impressive level of disorganization.- "we have to reschedule, we are moving offices that day". You can't move on a weekend?-"we have to reschedule, we are learning our new computer system". Again, weekends?-"we have to reschedule, there's been some confusion with the schedule and we don't have a nurse today".....what.- "we have to reschedule, we overbooked". How do you manage to not have controls in place for that? This place is awful, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone until they get their act together.
Dr Sonenshine was very disrespectful to me and I had a very very bad feeling when I left. He did not help me at all and he seemed uninterested in trying to help me.
They mess up appointments and don’t keep patients in the loop. One doctor doesn’t agree with another and the ONLY person that SUFFERS is the PATIENT. Supposed to have a procedure but they scheduled it as an office visit — the result ? The schedule being backed up for a month. When you call them to get it fixed they don’t “understand “ and can’t do anything about it. Leave voice messages and they don’t get back. Extremely disorganized health system, I can’t imagine what everyone else might have to deal with. Extremely frustrating. Sadly the doctors don’t handle the phone calls, so while they may have great physicians, no one wants to deal with people that work in an office that are unorganized and messing up appointments.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr Gupta and his staff! Everyone has been so kind and attentive, in the office as well as the endoscopy center. I have received thorough, excellent care. Thank you!
I have been trying to get assistance from the infusion coordinators at this location for over a month now. I take a medication who’s manufacturer offers a copay assistance program which reduces the patient cost of the medication to $5. I am enrolled in the program, however, the staff here hasn’t sent the required information to the program despite being asked several times now. I have called and left several messages every few weeks, but I have gotten no reply. This has forced me to spend thousands of dollars for a medicine that helps me stay healthy when the drug cost could be $5 for each infusion.I have had great experiences with my physician and care team at Atlanta Gastroenterology, however the infusion coordination team has been frustrating to say the least. I am left feeling like no one here will advocate for the patient, and I strongly recommend seeking infusion services elsewhere if possible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
