List of Atlanta Liver & Pancreas Surgical Specialists's Reviews
Dr. Abdalla just treated my fiance for pancreatic cancer. He is literally the greatest man I have ever met. His surgical skills are unparalleled and his bedside manner is just as good. Words can not explain how grateful I am that he exists, and works in Atlanta. Thank you Dr. Abdalla. Thank you so very, very much.
Dr Abdalla is an outstanding, professional surgeon. One year ago, October, 2019, I underwent a Whipple procedure. Dr. Abdalla saved my life. I was hospitalized again, this year in August and September, 2020. I finally had the courage to view my discharge documentation. I was operated on again because of pancreas neoplasm, in addition to an anastomotic leak of stomach. Dr. Abdalla sketched out the procedure that he would perform (Roux- en-Y) and the anastomotic leak was considered an emergency surgery, thus, saving my life again! Being in a hospital during this COVID-19 virus is pretty depressing. No visitors, no food, everything was fed through IV. However, now that I am recovering well, I am honored to have such a humble and professional surgeon. Dr. Abdulla consoled my husband, Who was anxiously waiting for results.Dr. Eddie Abdulla, you are a “Rock Star”!
Dr. Abdalla is a modest highly skilled surgeon and diagnostician. His Eyes saw that my anatomy was different and took an extra hour in surgery to assure I would be perfect. He cares about his patient and has saved many many lives of people who other doctors said it could not be done. His staff is a highly trained And well educated machine. He teaches all over the world and is one of the most respected pancreatic and liver surgeons. My Whipple went as smoothly as you could expect considering the night Northside Hospital nursing staff. They are another story indeed.Slowly but surely Dr. Abdalla is bringing everyone up to world class performance in medicine.Probably one of the finest men we have ever known and yet extremely humble. So blessed to have the best of M.D. Anderson come to me in Atlanta. He taught there 15 years.I doubt any liver or pancreatic surgeon has his credentials in Atlanta. We respect him like a God.
Dr. Abdallah is a beautiful surgeon ! He is truly the hands of God! He Truly has a heart for his patients and has an incredible gift. His staff is just as incredible as he is . I love this man , I am so grateful for what he’s done for my mom By giving me more years with her! He is blessed by the wonderful team he has, I can never express adequately my gratitude towards him And his entire team!
I am not one to use much hyperbole, but I can honestly say that my experience with Northside Vascular Surgery is the worst I've had with a medical practice in my 40 years. 1. NEVER on time. Average wait for me for my 6 appointments was over an hour.2. CANCELLED on me. They called me on a Friday at 2:05 to cancel my 3:00 pm appointment. I had a a driver arranged, my weekend cleared out to recover, had arranged care for my kids, and had declined an invitation to go away for that weekend . Needless to say I was very unhappy. When I spoke to the office admin who called me, she told me dr Riccotta was just overbooked. When I talked to Riccotta, he told me his helper had gotten sick at 10am and had to leave. Neither excuse was acceptable. If she left at 10am, you could have cancelled on me long before 2pm.3. Dr. Riccotta is a bad doctor. I had the procedure where they inject your veins to make the spidery ones disappear. The PA did great (one shining light in this practice): minimal pain, gentle manner, and all the veins she did are now gone. Dr Riccotta strode in and finished for her: all the ones he did were painful, he was short and rude, and those veins have reappeared.4. Billing is awful. They quoted me about $400 after insurance for my procedures. The true bill was almost $3000. Order of magnitude mistakes are not acceptable.I truly hope you stay away from this place. I usually like my doctors and stick with them. Dr. Riccotta is not professional. His entire practice seems to know this. They are overbooked in ways for which there are no excuses. Run away.
Had 4 procedures done with Dr. Joseph Ricotta. Additionally had 4 follow up visits. Hardly ever on time, minimum 45-minutes wait. One time had to cancel after having a 8:30 appointment and being told that I would not be seen till at least 1 PM. Could have been forewarned, but not in time.More often then not, you will see the physician's assistant who does not have the level of experience that you want. During one of the procedures, Dr. Ricotta hit a nerve at my ankle that now appears to be collateral damage to the initial treatment which did not include the ankle.Absolutely not recommend this physician. Hardly ever seemed engaged in the patient physician relationship that is important to me.
Got me right in with no waiting! ER staff was pleasant, and check out was easy.
I come here to see my women's doctor, and while I just love being personally invaded by a doctor, the long wait prior to this invasion is not so great. My doctor is great, but the wait I had last time was ridiculous. Over an hour.Tip: If you're going to schedule an appointment here, schedule earlier than you hope to see them.Other than that, they have a super friendly staff, in my office, at least and I have not had any other bad experiences. Nurses know how to draw blood without re-sticking the needle....and they will make accommodations with your schedule, should you need to reschedule.
Awesome
I came back from maternity leave and found myself in a newly renovated cafeteria with LCD screens, faux wood floors, nice colors... "the works." You would think there would be better food with the nicer looking cafeteria, but I guess they shelled out too much money on the renovation and therefore, had to compromise on the quality of the food. They still have the deli station, however, you can no longer get a freshly made sandwich. No more grilled cheese. You have to choose from previously prepared sandwiches. Who wants to eat a chicken salad sandwich that has a yellowish, solidified, old mayonnaise look on the top from sitting in the cooler for hours? Not me! They also have their pizza station, weight watchers station (which only has overcooked veggies most of the time), fried station (which has wings almost every other day), "special of the day" station (which is taco salad or nachos most of the time), salad bar, and typical cafeteria food station. In the past, if there wasn't much of a selection then you could always count on the cafeteria mac and cheese. Now, they rarely have mac and cheese. They also limited the selection of chips, candy, and ice cream. What's a girl to eat???

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
