List of Atlanta Retina Pc's Reviews
I contacted this office because I was experiencing a sudden increase in floaters and needed urgent retinal care. Instead of receiving compassion or professionalism, I was immediately met with suspicion, bias, and a patronizing tone from the very first call, before I had even walked through their door. The woman I spoke with took my information and then called me back, asking that I send a photo of my insurance card to a personal cell phone number. That alone was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Shortly after, she accidentally dialed my number again, not realizing I was still on the line. What I heard was disturbing enough that I could not let it go unaddressed. She launched into a profanity-laced conversation with another person, mocking patients who are dealing with advanced diabetes and financial hardship. She even expressed how glad she was to have chased a man down because he almost did not pay $300, treating it like a game rather than a matter of patient care. Her entire rant seemed to stem from the fact that I am from out of town. She openly complained about having had issues with other out-of-town patients in the past. I had clearly explained during our initial conversation that I was only choosing their location because it was closer to my job and more convenient for my schedule. I also explained that I live less than an hour away. None of that seemed to matter. Her bias was already locked in. The way she spoke about people who are suffering was cold, disrespectful, and in direct opposition to the ethics of healthcare. This was not a one-off comment or a slip of frustration. It was a sustained, gleeful rant that revealed a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. I want to be clear that I have never been to this office, and I have no ulterior motive in writing this review. I have nothing to gain. I only want to expose the appalling experience I just had and speak up for the people who may not get the chance. Maybe this is how many healthcare offices behave behind closed doors, but I imagine very few are incompetent enough to accidentally expose it. I will not be seeking care here, and I urge others to be cautious. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity, not mocked and profiled before they even arrive. To add, the woman was speaking to a man who mentioned researching a great collections agency, a clear reflection of how they view their customers, as if everyone is out to get them. In fairness, I have not had any direct interaction with the doctor, who may very well be an excellent physician. However, their decision to place someone so unprofessional at the forefront of patient communication reflects poorly on the entire practice.
I believe he has saved my vision. So that's absolutely wonderful!
Dr. d'Heurle is highly competent, and I am always confident that he is focused on my outcome. I have never had doubts about the quality of his care. His assistant, Bebe, is efficient and attentive. Although this is a sole practitioner, he instills trust in his treatment and analysis, and he is unfailingly kind.
I can't say enough nice things about Dr. D'Heurle. His bedside manner is amazing, his skill and expertise as a physician is incredible and he is just generally a kind and compassionate person. He SAVED my fiancé s eyesight. I will never be able to thank him enough.
DO NOT VISIT THIS OFFICE!! This doctor does not value his patients, nor does he have any idea how a doctor's office should be run. If he did, he would certainly fire the rude, mean, nasty woman who schedules his appointments!! First off, I called this office to schedule an appointment as an existing patient and was told that she had no records for me. I've seen this doctor for more than half my life annually. She literally yelled at me and argued about files that SHE could not find. I had to remind her that SHE works at the office, not me, and that I'm just as baffled that she had no medical records. Next, she acted as if she didn't want me to make an appointment with Dr. David D'HUERLE because as she said, " there's so much paperwork". I told her that's not an issues, and asked her to fax or email the forms or guide me to an online PDF. Well, she said they don't do any of that. Still not a problem I told her. I'll show up early and complete the forms. She was annoyed, but said okay and begrudgingly gave me an appointment. I then had to stop her from arguing about the location I selected. She wanted me to be seen in Jonesboro but I wanted the Midtown office. She would not let the missing records issue go, and offensively told me that ther was no way I was ever seen by Atlanta Retina! I refused to argue with her anymore and told her that I was surprised at her rudeness. The records issue is a problem for her and Dr. D'HUERLE to resolve. She called me a few days later and told me that she did more research and accused me of owing a $25 copay from 13 years ago. When I asked her if she'd found my records, she said NO, they'd been shredded. Then how could you possibly have a bill, especially when Dr. D'huerle collects copayment upfront at visits???!! She refused to fax or email me a copy of the "bill" for $25. I had to stop the conversation and remind her that she is supposed to be a professional and to stop arguing with a patient. LOL! She asked me for a credit card. I told her that she has not provided me any documentation of this alleged 13 year old $25 copay bill. Thus woman is so hateful and racist, and a terrible representation for this doctor. She said that she will not accept my insurance at the upcoming visit because she felt like it. The alleged $25 " bill " from 13 years ago was a mute issue to me but she was actually really hysterical about it. Yet refused to provide me with any proof although this was the FIRST I ever heard of it. I told her to cancel the appointment and she replied that she's be "more than happy to do that". I'm so very happy that she's happy because if Dr. D'HUERLE allows his staff to act in such a disrespectful, unprofessional manner with patients, then this is certainly NOT who I want to trust the health of my eyes to. I don't know how this doctor remains in business with any customers. She says that DR. D'huerle is in agreement with her although she never left the phone, and appears to always answer from her car on a cell phone the times I've called the number listed on the internet. There are some wicked, mentally sick individuals in the world, and unfortunately this office employs one! I WILL NEVER return to this office or recommend it to anyone. If I could give a negative star to this doctor I would. Go elsewhere!!!!
Referred to him by my internist, I made an appointment with Dr. David d'Heurle at Atlanta Retina, PC. Although the wait to be treated was a little longer than I expected, EVERY person on staff that I encountered - from the receptionist to Dr. d'Heurle - exceeded my expectations for cordiality and professionalism. The doctor greeted me with an apology for the wait, acknowledging that my time is valued, too. His examination was thorough and his diagnosis and recommendations were cogent. The validated parking was icing on the cake. I highly recommend.
I just love this place , David D'Heurle has been a God send. He is Mr. Dependable he does everything possible to save everyone's vision. He makes u feel comfortable and at ease with what is a scary problem for u. Please do not hesitate to trust him with your care. I've been going there for years.
From the moment I called to tíos place the way the answer without letting me know that was a doctor’s office with a simple “hello” gave me a bad taste. Now I try to book an appointment and that are overbooked and they could not see me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
