List of Bariatric Innovations's Reviews
I’m almost 2 months post op and this was the best decision I ever made dr gorjala and his staff are so helpful and friendly.
Dr. Lytle and his staff are PHENOMENAL! Dr. Lytle revised my previous bariatric surgery due to severe complications. He literally saved my life! I am forever grateful to Dr.Lytle.
great place to have surgery. doctor is fantastic.
Outstanding Practice, Talented Doctors & Caring Practitioners! The BEST decision of my life was choosing Dr. Lytle and Bariatric Innovations of Atlanta in treating my Achalasia. At the start of the year, I struggled with different doctors and offices from the ENT to GI in getting them to listen to me that my worsening reflux symptoms could not be from GERD, alone. I remained persistent for answers and after consulting with my primary physician, I demanded a Barium Swallow, something that my original gastroenterologist never suggested or advised for regardless of my continuous pleas of getting to the bottom of my worsening symptoms. After completing the Barium Swallow, it was now evident that my condition was “Congruent with Achalasia but would require the Manometry Study for an official diagnosis.” My Manometry was crystal clear and I was now diagnosed with Achalasia.Through a strong recommendation from Dr. Gerry Feur, a top robotic surgeon at Northside Hospital, I scheduled my initial consultation with Dr. Lytle at Batriatic Innovations. Ironically enough, the GI doctor that originally misdiagnosed me and never returned a phone call through my several months of reporting worsening symptoms recommended a Thoracic Surgeon (and “close friend”) through Emory while advising against Dr. Lytle for being a “General Surgeon.” At this point, I went with my gut and followed my trusted doctor’s recommendations. What a great and life-improving move this was!Dr. Lytle was knowledgeable, caring, and had the best possible bedside manner with a remarkably high attention to detail. He listened to my concerns and made me feel that I, in fact, was not alone, and through proper treatment, I will be able to once again live a normal life. After thoroughly explaining Achalasia to me and that my reflux symptoms were only a direct result of my condition, he recommended treatment plans based on my comfort level in partially or fully circumventing the problem. I was ready to tackle my new diagnosis head on and was confident in Dr. Lytle’s track record and skill level in treating me through a minimally-invasive Heller Myotomy surgery. From start to finish, I was in the hospital for only 1 night! My surgery was a major success, and the level of care from the hospital staff at Northside including Dr. Lytle and his team was exemplary, especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I focused on taking it super easy over the initial 2-4 weeks post-op, allowing my body to heal properly from inside-out. I followed Dr. Lytle’s regimen to the ‘T’ and remained on a liquids diet for the first two weeks and then enjoyed a soft foods diet including fresh fish and other foods that went down flawlessly for the following 2 weeks. Dr. Lytle called to check in after the first week of my recovery and between his nurse practitioner, Beatrice, and office staff, everyone I spoke with was as professional, responsive and supportive as could be.Upon my 5th week follow up, I shared with Dr. Lytle that he completely turned my life around and that I can now go on and enjoy my quality of life, after having regained my love for good food and ‘breaking bread’ with loved ones, as a 24-year-old and beyond! My 4 (1-2mm) victory scars on my stomach line where my belly button sits and 1 (1-2mm) scar where my LES connects will serve as a constant reminder that choosing Dr. Lytle and Bariatric Innovations of Atlanta as my health care provider was the best decision I’ve made within my lifetime. Thank you to everyone from this office who listened, cared for, and supported me throughout this battle-tested journey. I will forever be grateful!
If I could give this 0 stars I would. I scheduled an appointment back in December to be seen for a consultation. I live out of state so I arranged to be off of work and booked a hotel room to travel to be seen by doctors that came very highly recommended by close friends in the community. I was called 2 days before my consultation to say there was an emergency and they were not able to see me. When I asked if there was another physician that could see me the answer was no. Extremely disappointing considering the lengths I had gone to make a visit to an office that had come highly recommended. If you are considering this practice, be sure to confirm you appointment multiple times before making special arrangements to be there.
My experience with Dr. Nathaniel Lytle, Ricia Taylor And Star the patient advocate Have not had surgery yet but I have had nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience I have never had them cancel my appointment Infact I have missed a few. They are very informative. Hands down as of now its been 3 mons and I'm hoping my surgery will be soon. But I'm happy 100%

I do not recommend Bariatric Innovations. At all. My daughter had a procedure scheduled. One she was very nervous about doing. 2 days before the scheduled date, after she had gotten off of work, they called and canceled. The reason was because their nurse practitioner was going on maternity leave. When my daughter and I went in for the consultation 2 weeks before, it was quite evident the nurse practitioner was nearly due. The fact that they knew they did not have someone else to cover for her and yet accepted our payment is not only unprofessional, but unethical. My daughters procedure, Obalon, was going to require 3 different appointment days spaced 3 weeks apart. They couldn't even supply us with any timeline for a future procedure date.My daughter next went to Georgia Surgicare. They were unbelievable! So kind and professional and thorough. We realized the reason my daughter had felt such discomfort at Bariatric Innovations was because they were only interested in payment, not patient well being. Furthermore, they were so inept (or uncaring), they were going to do the procedure knowing my daughter was going to be flying Internationally within a month. Georgia Surgicare explained the flying Would nullify the effects of the procedure so they suggested another option which turned out to be even better!I know Loganville is quite a drive but it is 100% worth it! The doctor spent an hour with my daughter going over medical history and goals. He was absolutely fabulous, as was the staff. As for Bariatric Innovations, stay away.
He is a great surgeon. I will go back to him is I need be.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
