List of Brenda B. Simpson's Reviews
Someone close to me was referred to this clinic to begin her cancer treatment. Not only was the staff brash, they were insensitive to the patient. You cannot run a clinic with poor service and poorly behaved staff. Especially for women who have just received one of the most difficult diagnosis both her and her family has likely had to deal with. Breast cancer disrupts everything and is a difficult thing to go through. You all should know this. At the very minimum hire and retain staff who not only understand customer service but has humility, a sense of urgency and most importantly compassion. If you cannot offer any of the basics noted above, it’s best to not service these demographic of patients. They have a big enough battle to fight. They don’t need another from a clinic that should be servicing them.
Brenda Simpson delivers the news that you have breast cancer like that of a robot who has long ago lost all sense of compassion for the patient. She refused to be seated in discussing further steps, even though we asked her to. My cancer was missed by this practice because I was not recommended for a Breast MRI despite a significant family history of breast cancer and very dense breast tissue. If you are high risk, don’t go to Breadt “Care” Specialists.
Excellent surgeon. She performed three surgeries on me. Very happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend her.
I have been under Dr. Simpson's care since 2017. I have found her to be a great surgeon who follows up diligently. She will make every effort to get you in should you have any concerns in the preop or post op setting. She is thorough and to the point. I have had numerous complements from other physicians on her work and had zero complications in the the post op setting. I have sent multiple family members to her as well. We are all very pleased.
If not for the work of Dr Simpson I might not be alive. When I had a mammogram that came back fine but I knew better I was immediately referred to Dr Simpson. I got an appointment very quickly. When it was later determined I had advanced breast cancer she did my double mastectomy. She and everyone at the office has been great.
She is very communicative and listens. Great surgeon.
Dr. Simpson seems amiable and friendly at the initial conference, but once you are in the system, after surgery, she was quite hard to communicate with. She has very little time for explanations and was inflexible about understanding of any range of treatments or testing but her own. I had complications with the surgery and she had one treatment which did not work on successive attempts, and yet she persisted with that one treatment anyway. Lastly, she would not assist me in my followup goals. Hers were the only ones that mattered. I would not recommend her to anyone.
Since it's not possible to give MINUS STAR therefore I 've marked single star which also is non-deserved by her. I am writing review only to to see that others do not suffer at her reckless and negligent hands so Patients BEWARE. Factually, Dr. Brenda Simpson did Mastectomy of right breast. Operation lasted for 90 minutes and while gaining consciousness I heard nurses saying my operation site was bleeding and immediately Dr. Was called. Dr came, I was taken back to operation theatre and I was again given anaesthesia. My operation lasted for five hours in toto. There was 500 cc bleeding bringing down my Hb from 14.8 down to 9. Wound was restitched and was bandaged all around from Neck to naval with pressure. After discharge, when I removed my bandage there was 8" inches big clots of wounds. I was told it was hematoma and artery cut. I developed fever. Dr was un-approachable. Her nurse Taylor Wallace would neither answer nor call me back. I had to rush to Northside hospital in emergency but Dr on duty when called Dr Simpson she instructed said Dr not to touch my wound. I was made to change my dressing myself. Every time I went to see her she would tell me wound would take "couple of weeks" to heal. My wound developed sepsis and I asked for antibiotic. Dr gave me antibiotics but fever did not come down. I approached Dr again and then only she changed antibiotics. It was nightmare for me because if sepsis had reached blood I had to be admitted in ICU. After two months of ordeal, after said negligent surgery, I have come back to my home country, India and showed wound to Dr and they said they have not seen such bad wound and surgery in their entire career. I am advised skin grafting to ensure faster healing. Dr. Simpson ought to have done so to quicken healing. But she did series of neglect in her duty as Dr. I had thought Dr Simpson being from Emory University would be good but reading above proved contrary. I had asked for her contact but she refused to share. When my left breast mastectomy was done in India my stitches healed in 8 days and I had started Yoga within 23 days after surgery.
She is very bad at surgery. She did my mastectomy so bad that there was bleeding found after stitching leading to opening of stitches by second time admn of anaesthesia leading to big open wound. Wound did not heal and Dr Brenda steeped over it for more than two months. Ultimately I came back to India and Dr did skin grafting and closed the wound. Dr Simpson has no knowledge of wound care And she is inhumane in she neither herself helped me nor wd she allow me to get wound care done by other Dr. She exploited my innocence while I trusted her.
Dr Simpson is very very bad at Mastectomy. . She had cut artery during surgery and I suffered deep wounds resulting in huge clots and she did not guide me at all. After 12 weeks of suffering open wound I m advised skin grafting. I m suffering till date owing to her butchered surgical negligence. Any time I asked her about woundher reply is always "couple of weeks" more to heal. My Doctors seeing the wound say they have never seen such bad wound that I suffered from surgery done by her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
