Simply the best. My teenage son broke his arm and Dr. Costas was caring and informative right from the start. He made me feel so relaxed that we had the right doctor, recommending the correct treatment. I also had Dr. Costas perform my carpal tunnel surgery years ago- I have no problems to this day! Love this doc!!!

dr costas removed or rather tried to remove a cyst on the back of my left hand. it was larger and worse after his surgery than before. needed surgery and drainage after his surgery.

I am an Otolaryngologist who sustained a severe injury to my R wrist (dominate) in 2005. I was told by another Hand Surgeon in a different city that I would not operate again for 3-6 months. I asked him who in Atlanta would you go to if you had this type of injury? He said, “Dr Bronier Costas,” without batting an eye. He was absolutely correct. I had 3 surgeries over a period of 9 months, but with the hardware he put in my arm & the “operating friendly” casts, I missed very few days in the operating room. All of the staff, especially Mary, have been very friendly & supportive. My favorite Doctor! He performed 6 hand surgeries in less than two years including 3 tendon reconstruction surgeries due to tendon ruptures and I also had all knuckles replaced in my right hand. He did an incredible job and I wouldn't trust anyone else. Dr. Costa is very knowledgeable in his field, he's very compassionate and easy to talk to. I also like his whole staff. His nurse Mary is exceptional, also very smart and always on top of things. I highly recommend Dr. Costa, OT team and staff.

I had hand surgery in Birmingham Al. in June. I could not bend my thumb after 4 months of therapy. My sister is a patient of Dr. Costas and advised me to make an appointment with him to see if he could help me. I was told previously that I would not get any bend back, so I visited Dr. costas. He said he felt he could help me, so he operated on me in Feb. When I woke up I could bend my thumb again! The tendon was stuck on the scar tissue in my thumb incision and in my wrist. He is the best!

We had two surgeries with Dr. Costas, two with his late mentor, Dr. Baines. Costas is okay,not great, not awful, not as good as Dr. Baines. Both of Costas's surgeries left the injured joints slightly better, but well below what we had hoped for. His office tends to drop the ball at times. Over a two-week period we kept calling to ask when surgery was but did not receive a response until two days before. Without our persistence, he would likely have shown up and had no patient there.

A wonderful doctor. Dr Costas has re-build both of my shoulders. My right shoulder was repaired on Aug 08, 2006 and it was so damaged he worked on it for 4 1/2 hours. The left shoulder only had a torn rotator cuff, three detached muscle and a bone spur, so on Jan 17, 2017 it only took 2 1/2 hours to repair. After surgery I took rehab in Snellville by Atlanta Rehabilitation & Performance Center as prescribed by Dr Costas and his close supervision.

I went to Dr. Costas for a second opinion. He explained my situation in a way that I could understand and was very compassionate. He did my surgery, and I saw immediate results. His staff is the best- very caring, friendly, and approachable. I highly, and without reservation, recommend Dr. Costas and his staff.

Costas is a jerk. He speaks so softly & is such a gentleman while he's "selling the job (surgery)". He was supposed to do a basal joint replacement for me. He totally screwed me up. Butchered my hand. Blamed the failure on me, said I was too flexible - as if I only became flexible AFTER the surgery. OF COURSE it wouldn't have been any wrongdoing on HIS part. My thumb should have been fused from the get-go. Make him angry one time and you will see the true jerk he is. Talk to his former employees who don't enjoy having charts or anything else he happens to be holding Thrown at them. Sorry excuse for a surgeon. I'll despise him and his ego for the rest of my life.

addendum: He BUTCHERED my hand, left my thumb in worse shape, now has to be fused by a REAL doctor. He SELLS the surgery then shows his true self - a money hungry jerk. Owns the rehab center next door. Should be sanctioned for what he does to patients. Screamed at me just prior to surgery because I was sucking on a piece of hard candy (I am hypoglycemic) after he arrived 4+ Hours Late. His surgery center is nasty. I would leave negative stars if possible.
