List of Byron D. Rosenstein's Reviews
I had a life altering event in my 30s I ripped my kneecap off my shinbone. A debilitating patellar tendon tear. Not knowing if I could play sports or even walk straight I was in a bad spot. I saw Dr. Rosenstein within 24 hours and addition to his skill as a surgeon he brought something more important. Confidence. He instilled in me his confidence that he could get me walking again. I was on the operating table within 48 hours Dr. Rosensteins smile confidence and clear communication to me about what he was going to do set me at ease. As it turns out the surgery was a success. My repaired kneecap is almost perfectly in line with my good one. As my recovery continued Dr. Rosenstein provided clinical feedback and encouragement which made the hard work of physical therapy easier. Dr. Rosenstein is my go to physician for ortho he will always be honest he will never over prescribe.
I will say he’s a good surgeon but he needs to listen to his patients more with a bit more compassion in his voice when speaking about their concerns. I will say anyone who doesn’t have a medical degree you knows your body listen to it it is your degree and it speaks to you in the form of pain. Sometime your doctors knowledge about a particular diagnosis isn’t always right. Paying attention and listening speaks volume. Thanks to Dr Rosenstein for his services but I think I will go get a different opinion on my arm.
Dr. Rosenstein was great. He was very knowledgable and spent all the time I needed explaining to me what I needed to know about my knee. I highly recommendUPDATE He performed surgery on my knee. I was very happy with Dr. Rosenstein and his staff
He is the best doctor. Saved our life. Thank you so very much ch for helping my son
Top notch physician and an outstanding supporting cast. This total knee replacement experience was far better than the last one and the last one wasnt bad another practice. If you want first class care on an orthopedic procedure hobble on in to this guy. You wont regret it
If you want a doctor who drops you when his surgery does not go correctly choose this one. Dr. Rosenstein performed what he called a minor bandaid repair on my lateral meniscus. Said Id be running the rest of my life. Postsurgery he prescribed me a written course of treatment that included two weeks of PT ice and rest. I followed this to a tee. I am a runner whose mother died young without family support and having one salary to support myself. I am meticulous with my health. Six weeks after this minor repair I was in more pain than before the surgery. I went back and saw him but he kept telling me to go home ice and take ibuprofen. No xray no MRI nothing. These follow up visits were rushed less than five minutes of face time and gave zero support or advice that would help. Finally after four months and several rushed visits where he basically ignored me I called up on the phone and asked his assistant why he was not recommending follow up imaging on my knee if it had been months and I still was in pain. No answer to that question. None. At that point I told her I am requesting an MRI. So he ordered an MRI. The insurance company denied it however because when they reached out to the doctor he would not respond. Part of every MRI procedure involves the doctor okaying the procedure. How do I know this? When the MRI was denied I called his office. I was told that Dr. Rosenstein does not talk to insurance companies. I then talked to my insurance company who said that this is a routine discussion that every orthopedic doctor partakes in. So then I decided to call ten other orthopedic offices throughout the metro Atlanta area. Every single one of them agreed with the insurance the doctor has to okay the procedure verbally. It is a part of their jobs. So I called his office again and explained this to the assistant Shelby. Her words exactly I can make him do the peer to peer but he is not going to like that. I said yes go ahead. This is my right. He then did the peer to peer because Shelby made him a three minute phone conversation. During the conversation he told the insurance company that he did NOT endorse the MRI procedure. Out of spite. Because Shelby made him. I am working with a new doctor now who got the MRI okayed immediately and is working with me to help me get my life of running back. I would recommend that doctor to the world. He discovered that the previous surgery did not fix the initial tear. Dr. Rosenstein is a volatile temperamental doctor with a huge ego who cannot be wrong. If there is a chance he did not fix your problem he will ignore you and not help you in further fixing it. I wasted $10000 and a year of my life to this man. If I went to my new doctor he probably would not have recommended surgery first if at all.
He did both my knee replacements Excellent Doctor Love him and his staff
Dr. Rosenstein performed a Total Knee Replacement on my right knee in February of 2017. His professionalism and expertise have allowed me to regain my strength and mobility. He is talented honest and caring. I highly recommend him.
Went to see Dr. Rosenstein yesterday with shoulder problem. He suggested a cortisone shot and PT therapy to start. He doesnt like to jump to extreme measures. All was good but the shot in my mind. He assured me that he could do it without any pain Ive had one other cortisone shot that I thought was the most painful thing done to meFYI gave birth naturally two times not a wimp. Dr. Rosenstein was not lying. There was zero pain with the injection in my shoulder great bedside manner
Highly recommend Dr Rosenstein for his dx rx skills. He has treated me for frozen shoulder 2004 right knee torn miniscus 2008 current need for repair of left knee torn miniscus. Outcomes for past surgeries were excellent. He listens well is compassionate in his concerns. Staff are responsive efficient in front Xray medical support.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
