List of Childrens Healthcare Of Atlanta- Hughes Spalding Hospital's Reviews
If there's a negative option I will use that. Terrible staffs. They've kept on transferring me to other departments.
I sat for 4 hours all to wait and the doctor still not gave an answer the doctor did not know what could possibly be wrong with my daughter they waited 4 hours to tell me that the ultrasound super was closed knowing she needed in ultrasound from the symptoms provided. Offered medication that has nothing to do with symptoms. Referred me to egleston I waited another hour for her to tell me that she can’t get in contact with the doctor from egleston and they sent my baby home with possible appendicitis based off of X-rays never again
I will never go to this hospital again. I do not care what time of day it is or if it’s the last hospital in GA that will accept children, I would drive to Alabama or South Carolina to have my children seen. I arrived at the hospital early morning 1:30am on 1/16/24. My son had a fever of 102 and I gave him Motrin before taking him to the hospital, but my concern was his eye swelling on top of his fever he’s had the past 48 hours consistently at 102. Nevertheless, my son and I waited at this hospital for 4 hours and still no rooms were available to be seen, no doctors on call to take on patients. I was told EMS patients took up all of the rooms. It’s now 5am (sun is rising people getting ready for work). I asked the lady who takes people vitals to take his temp and his temp was 99.5, considered not a fever in their books. So, I waited 30 more minutes and still nobody came to get us, it’s now 5:30am. I left the hospital with my son and monitored him at home. God forbid if my asthmatic son would have went home with a 99.5 temp and it spiked back up to 102 causing him to have a seizure. Thankfully I’ve managed to get advice from his pediatrician at 6 in the morning on how to properly care for him at home. Please avoid taking your child here. Take them somewhere, but don’t take them here.
They kept me informed bout my child ever step of the way communication is everything
I took my son there last night he’s been sick for a while. They looked over his body “LOOKED” in his ears and said he’s fine just had a cold. That wasn’t true i took him to another hospital where they actually examined him and he has a ear infection in both his ears
I honestly can't believe this is a children's hospital. The services has declined tremendously.
My 15 Year old son was sent from a rural hospital via ambulance for stroke like symptoms. We have sat in the emergency room for over 5 hours with three nurses giving us three different stories, the family experience representative came by and told us she was going to find the doctor. She never returned. My wife and I sit here as my son has numbness in his arm and leg and his bottom lip is drawn to one side and have yet to see a doctor. I have voiced my concern to every one I could, this hospital truly does not care about patients or their families. I sit here hoping my son doesn't die of a stroke. I have recorded video of the negligence of this place and everything documented. I have contacted everyone at the hospital i can trying to get my son help. It's truly sad when patients get better care in Mexico than the USA. I travel for business and have had to go to the ER in Mexico a few times and it was much more professional than this place. I would never recommend this hospital for any medical procedures. Go anywhere but this hospital.
They did my baby well here. My 1 year old had a seizure and child hospital of Atlanta Egleston did nothing but sent us home. When we got home he had another seizure hours later. I requested for the ambulance to take us elsewhere. They bought us to Hughes. It was the most amazing experience I felt like they treated my baby as if it was there own. The nurses down to the doctors get a 10 star in my book. Thank you so much for the car you'll gave to my baby.
The doctor and others nurses treated my son with care and love which was amazing experience.
The nurses and doctors were great. They all treated us with respect and were very thorough and knowledgeable. Tadiya, a nurse at the desk, was very kind and gave us coffee for our long way home at 4am. Very kind and compassionate.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
